BORED WITH DA:O & Can't help but notice glitches

Everytime I try to play again, I just can't help but keep noticing annoying glitches whether it maybe Gameplay or minor technical issues such as timing of dialogues & character animations.
Here are few examples,
In areas where you can change companions like Lothering or Lake Calahand, the companion dialogue continues even when you no longer have that compnion with you.
When you play a female character, the running motion of your character is buged so that you see large weapons such as Two hand swords & staves chopping through the PC's achilles heels.
Perhaps, if the developer brought new contents out earlier it would turn my attentiion elsewhere as oppose to noticing all the glitches in the game.
I like to use this opportunity to discuss annoying glitches that you have exprienced during your DA:O playtrhough.

The reason we can pause is so that we can fix your AI from doing anything like ,with bow just start running to a whole group of mobs, to just standing there doing nothing.
And i love when your making first contact using bows the first hit your guys start running away in the other direction. While the mobs are bearing down on you wasting time where you could of shot off at least 2 more shots from the bows(for what) to get in a better spot.
Come on you hit them fine the first time why you need another spot?. There are the issues with mismanagement of CPU's ,CTD ,memory leak and loading times getting longer and longer like they were 15 years ago.
I have seen some bad glitches so far the whole redcliff night battle is so bad with the mobs either getting stuck up top and down below to the point you have to walk over to them for them to get unstuck.Ive had the guy in redcliff you give the lyrium to for a bribe .when i went to talk to him by the windmill he transported my group and him down to the Blackstone irregular guy .
And he was transposed with the Blackstone guy. My first game the first time i went to denerim. The game glitched me into arl Eamon's estate .The cut scene with logain was all messed up. I was able to save Annora get locked up, escaped. All that before i ever saved conner and the arl.
Sure enough the arl was in denerim . but if i went to redcliff he would be standing on his bed in the same spot as if he was still sick. there were 3 other npc's that did this transposing as well.
Also i once talked to Ignacio's little messenger while in denerim , And that triggered the convo
about a certain assassin failing in his job . But i had yet to even meet zevon .
Ive seen one of my char walk around like he was ice skating not moving his legs . there are more less game breaking like sloppy spots in the mesh where you can just walk into the void. And no this is not a downloaded game from steam. its store purchased from a CD.
No there is nothing wrong with my gaming computer its all stemming from weak coding. And they had to of known about allot of these issues when they released it . they just wanted allot of that Christmas money .
Remember when the search button didn't work for this forum when the game came out? I think it was just turned off until they could censor and edit allot of the things that were being reported IMO.
i mean come on how long have forums been around? and the search didn't work . hmmm
And last it was a pretty sly way of selling a game for 70-75 $ the way you did with the DLC .In which there were more problems with the DLC . And I have screen shots of ALL of these things but for some strange reason am having problems with the whole album feature of this social network .
PS leave the social networking to the facebook guys and spend more time on your games.
I loved the concepts behind and in game . You do have talent i can tell that . But its my first BIOWARE game. And might be shy of actually buying another because of the issues stated
above. To me it seems like EA has tainted yet another game designer IMO
edit:oh and forgot the nobel clothes i got from ignatio when i put them on a female anyone of them the clothes turn into a yellow like wetsuit with the words in black ( do not use)
/rant off

And really, the whole tactics thing is something I'd see as a defensive measure. People are going to complain about how you write your AI, one way or another. Why not just let them deal with the AI?
Keep in mind that I bought the Steam version, and haven't actually had any issues with anything (aside from minor spawn glitches as mentioned above)
The biggest problem I sometimes get is how long it can take to update a quest after I finish a specific portion about it. Especially if the quest involves killing someone.
Some people have had some really messed up problems, from what I hear. The game works just fine for me. Besides, it's a 15 GB game. It's somewhat reasonable that the game has more glitches than other BioWare games considering, well, that it's a lot larger than all of them.

So, after having done that so many times you're going to get to know the game very well, better perhaps than the people who did the quality testing for the game.

dresses on females that go down to the bottom are cut up like the noble clothes when they walk
any other glitchs like not being able to return into the mages tower because i got teleported out when i was trying to do the last summon
i suspect the rest in my head and the 1 above are becuase of my over heating x box and my disc got a little bit warpped within a month of constant playing when i first got it.

Other than your general graphics glitches here and there which are found in every 3D animated game, the gameplay "bug" that annoys me the most is at the start of battles and you issue orders, for some odd reason your party keep wanting to run into formation instead of doing the assigned action. Pisses the hell out of me.

That's really only because Tactics overrides whatever you want them doing. Pretty annoying, but I just micro. Move to one char, have them activate something, unpause, pause while it's being activated, switch, unpause, pause, etc. etc. Usually I just set tactics, though.LynxAQ wrote...

Also, twice I've found that the radial menu got switched so fighting was paused with the menu closed and running when the menu was open.

Well, you've played through 10 times! I mean, that's an ungodly amount of play for one game these days.

I am almost done with my 12th game, so what? I got good deal for my money imo.
And no, glitches dont bother me, I am having fun with taking screenies of naked toons atm

The way the characters stand around doing nothing when they are attacked is just dumb even if you set them to aggressive. Trying to keep everyone together when you are wandering around is difficult enough with it keep switching between grouped and solo, the times I've turned round and my comrades are no were to be seen, sometimes they follow sometimes they don't. The whole tactics thing is dumb and overly complex (why no simple mode for those of us who just want to have fun?) and as for saving, you get through a difficult bit and you can't save then get killed when you go around a corner and have to go through it all again and again and again.
Mass Effect worked for the most part, this doesn't.

1) Load times, I'm not even playing at a high graphic level or anything and things take forever
2) the toolset won't install because of some file that needs to be manually changed, yet I can't even find teh folder to find the file to open and change, i' not a computer person so I just gave up on it.
That's really about it

Lorribot,
it sounds like you're accidentally turning on and off the HOLD PARTY command. It can be toggled by the H key or a button underneath all the party portraits (if youre on PC). If you've set hold party on, all party member AI, including autofollow and autoattack is disabled (ranged autoattack for some reason however, isn't disabled).
A good chunk of complaints about this game seem to stem from people not knowing the various game commands and toggles...

I think this might be the least buggy game in the history of this genre.

If you want a cutting edge visual experience you must have the power to run it. Fortunately DA's requirements are not through the stratosphere. But some people will still try to run it at the minimum settings instead of the recommended settings.
If you use mods and other enhancements you cannot blame the developers if it does not look right.
Yes, some graphic issues will happen. But if you are on more than your first playthrough I believe you are getting your money's worth. I know I am. I have not play a CRPG three times in a row since well never.
