Does Collecting the matriarch diaries from ME1 count as a mission?

In my multiple playthroughs...I have never completed that mission...it was that annoying.

Do you get anything good for beating it?

The only thing I can think of was in ME3, the annoying fan guy needs them for something, and if you provide him with all these info you save his life. (Or so I have been told, since he never died in my play throughs I cannot confirm it, but they told me he can die if you fail to provide him all he needs).

I think he had some info in an old Asari dialect and needed them for translation. Not sure, in my save he simply "saved" Shepard and jogged on with that Jenna chick (her mission was pretty annoying as well)

Come to think of it his mission in the third game is really random on all the stuff that plays a part, there's Gavin Hossle and his data from Feros that plays a part, a license that you had to get in the first game, the matriarch writings about ten of them i think, and Jenna that plays a part for his mission...totally worth it...

priority earth. it does not even has music at some part!!!!!!!!!!
while this works in some missions and in some games as it enhances the solitude, in priority earth no music enhances the boredom

Id have to say Priority: Earth. The whole "Expectation:WhatActuallyHappened" ratio is completely out of whack.  With my reasoning based on this "ratio scale", I feel its safe to say that Priority Earth is my most hated mission on any computer game I have ever played to date.  (Drakes Deception is up there too and is 2nd place to Priority Earth)

Exactly my thoughts as well.

Now that you've built a little mayan quote tag temple out of hatred for the ending, I wouldn't be suprised if we'd get some apocalypse theorists on the board to join the crescendo.

Oh, the delight.

I'm with you here. It may not be the worst on an absolute scale, but nobody expects much from a random n7 assignment. The final main plot mission of the trilogy, however? What the hell happened? Here's a relevant quote:

"To end....like THIS?" -- Jon Irenicus, BG2

Note that I like the Citadel sequence, titled "The Return", with the exception of parts of the Catalyst conversation, so this is not the usual "ending-related complaint". My complaint is about Priority: Earth before you get up to the Citadel, which I found rather boring, and Shepard's cringe-worthy speech didn't help. They should've taken inspiration from DAO.

(Drakes Deception is up there too and is 2nd place to Priority Earth)

Drakes Deception? What's that?

Can't decide between
Priority Earth which was everything but not what I expected after the ("take back earth") trailers
and
Omega which was nearly as good integrated into the game as the last two DA2 DLCs -.-

Jacobs "my daddy is bad"(ME2 loyalty) mission because of Jaco... erm poor writing! But environment itself was pretty gorgeous in that mission.

Aria: Blood Pack. Watching my paragon shep murder on Aria's behalf.

Seems to me like if you didn't want to do bad things to secure forces, you wouldn't want to be trusting murderers to fight for you anyway?

Or is the "trusting anyone and everything no matter what they've done" thing part of the paragon way?

Edit: Forgot to answer the question, was too busy being snarky for no really good reason.

Any quest-type-entity at all? Pretty much take your pick out of any of the ME1 side quests... Especially the ones with 0 real choice or dialogue. Like the one listening post that got hit by rachni? Run in, kill rachni, press button, leave. Lots more like that too.

Mission-specific, like main storyline missions. Might sound odd, but I absolutely loathe Mordin's recruitment mission. Mostly because I play short to mid-range classes, and that early on, a lot of the fights become very tedious.

I don't know how people think they're going to recruit organizations like the Blood Pack without at least risking getting their hands dirty in the process. Unlike Jack's recruitment mission, nobody's forcing you to do it.

In the other two Aria missions we at least had the opportunity to take a less harmful approach. Not kill Septimus , Not release Sederis; we could have been given the option to Not shoot the unarmed guy. Even shooting Udina was a renegade interrupt. Why not just arrest Kreete? We see that a gang leader in jail is sufficient enough reason for the second in command to step up in Aria: Eclipse.
