Priority Earth due to my expectations.
But objectively? The Luna base. That was the worst side-quest I have ever had the trouble of playing. And what was the main objective? Oh, that's right! Shoot six freaking computers in a boring-ass level... TWELVE TIMES!
It was a pain to go through, so I just did that in casual.
THREE IDENTICAL BASES, all with the SAME enemies and a terrible
Worst mission of the entire series?

A premium mission that took you through hordes of the usual Cerberus troops in a roundabout way just to let Javik out. Granted, the mission had some nice flashbacks, callbacks to ME1, and introduced a new character, but the actual gameplay featured no decisions and very little innovation as far as engaging the enemy imho.
And to those saying Suicide Mission was the worst: what the hell kind of ryncol have you guys been drinking?!

Now that I think about it, pretty much all the squaddie addition quests from ME2 were better than this mission.

At least Hammerhead missions were optional (though I thouroughly enjoyed them personally).Dr. McN1nja wrote...

Yeah, that's true. And now that I'm thinking about it, it's more the Firewalker DLC missions I hated. The first 4 or 5, anyway. The last one was ok. At least you had something to shoot on that one.N7Infernox wrote...

i don't think anyone overlooks that, we all know the side missions needed to be more developed. that's why ME2 was somewhat of a disappointment for me because I was excited for an improved version of ME1, not a different kind of game alltogether where the mako doesn't even exist anymore.

Not this guy! Just the thought of wasting all that time in the Mako makes me nauseous, nevermind the fact that all of the random assignments (save for Luna, a couple of Cerberus ones, and the Squad related ones) were basically pointless.EpicBoot2daFace wrote...

Hammerhead missions were a vast improvement that just didn't seem to make it into ME3.

When ME1 is held up as the best game in the series, people are overlooking all those bad side missions. The only good missions in the game were the main ones. ME2's side missions were better designed and acually featured unique locations.pistolols wrote...
