Yeah.  You guys complaining about ME3 missions clearly didn't play ME1 or have short memories, or cheated.

Still, ME1 is the best in the series. :P

In terms of strict gameplay, ME1 definitely had the worst missions, even on some of the the major plot planets.  Feros.  Oh god, the number of times I've stalled out on Feros just because I do not want to play that planet ever again.

But in general I think I have more patience for tedious gameplay than I do for bad story.  ME1 might have been boring and tedious at times, but I don't think it ever made me actually angry like ME3.

Fair enough.

Arrival DLC. I won't even re-install it with my last install of ME2. Pretend it never happened.

UNC: Lost Module.  The first time you play it, before you figure where the data is always in the same place.  Having to check EVERY SINGLE DAMN MONKEY ON THE PLANET.

Or any of the ME1 fetch quests.  Its like they purposefully put things out of the way, in the hardest part to get to on the map.

Yeah.  You guys complaining about ME3 missions clearly didn't play ME1 or have short memories, or cheated.

Nah, just go straight to the one in the cave that has the module.

Then shoot it.

Yeah... I uninstalled it too.

LOL, but that first time you have no idea that cave is there.  But damn right I shot that mokey when I finally found him.

I never minded ME1. I can get the whole thing done in ~19 hours and reach lvl53.

A lot of the side missions in ME1 were really boring. People like to overlook this because of nostalgia.

im offended when people say this. its like your trying to imply the people that like ME1 like it becaue they are dumb. yeah, bro, i played ME1 50some times because it was nostalgic to play it 50 times.

when is nostalgia going to kick in for ME3? its been months and i havent played it since a few days after release when i beat it for the second time(and i only played it a second time becaue of all the WTF-happened-to-mass-effect thing.)

becuase you know, i only like things because of these rose tinted glasses im wearing, or whatever other foolish reason youv convinced yourself into thinking.

ME1s sidequests only became bad on multiple playthroughs. i know there are people that apreciate the veiw from any one of those UNC missions then anything else in the series. it was exploration, and at first i thoght it was awesome. i gaurantee you also though it was awesome, but you have bazaro-nostalgia and forgot how awesome landing on some desolate planet was.

I like ME2 more for nostalgia personally. It felt more vibrant.

I remember there was one in ME2 where you just had to shut something off. Was pretty lame.

I like ME1, but a completionist playthrough is a real slog for me to get through. ME2? Easier going, but I miss the RPG elements in combat.

You can do completionist playthroughs in ME2? I mean, is there an achievement or something?

Thessia, Priority Earth.

ME2 is my favorite of the trilogy. It did have some missions that were rather pointless.

The mission to turn on the solar shield was pretty lame. It can be accomplished in less than 2 minutes. The one on the crashed ship that is lying on a cliff is pointless as well.

ME3, everything was dumb. All any of the missions were was fire a probe at a planet for your war asset.

Not so bad if you had some good music to listen to and some time to kill. Just think of it like target practice, but with loot.

Same here.  ME2 has draggy bits too, but IMO they're fewer and farther between.  It also helps that I can just Gibbed in the minerals I need when I get sick of the damned minigame

So true.  And people complained that DA2 reused maps lol.

But like I said earlier in the thread, I have a rhythm for beating ME1, so it really doesn't bother me anymore.

Priority: Earth

1, A lot of wasted potential...we didn't even see our ME2 squadmates kick some ass...just a little holograph talk.
2. Swarms of enemies...okay I get it, earth is invaded, enemies everywhere...but does the whole mission must have zero additions? Only swarming enemies to shoot?
3. Speaking of additions...WTF was the point of shooting from AA gun?! This was...random.
4. The whole time we don't fight with any of our united forces...would be nice to see some Asari, Salarians, Krogans and other races fighting alongside us...again wasted potential.

The mission was supposed to be a cherry on the tip of beautifull ice-cream...but it was not. The ice-cream was not bad but the cherry was missing :(

I mean really, Earth is LITERALLY being invaded by the Reapers.
Am I the only one?

I never understood this. Why do people mine AT ALL after their first playthrough? Some people complain about it and yet you get 50000 of each mineral to boot and a bunch just for doing regular missions.

This.  If we're talking about proper missions though... I'll say it's Menae.  Expository commentary for folks that didn't play first 2 games ahoy!:sick:
