ME2: the REAPER IFF. greanted it's a main mission, but so meny damned Husks....Jacob's loayatly mission. Samara's recurtment mission...don't ask me why, never liked it.
ME3 Legions side mission.... boring... shoot squares... walk here. the Fetch missions [ hate how Shep overheres something then BAM you have 20 quests, some not active untill the system gets unlocked.] Aria's "recrute" the mercs thing....hate how you can't tell her to f&^k off and do it herself.
and those are the missions i hate the most.

Plus the gameplay was rather boring on that mission except for holding the line at the missiles.

Compared to many of the side-quests in Mass Effect 1, Priority Earth was pretty good. And to say that Priority Earth was worse than some of those missions (Luna Base), well, you're pretty delusional. It's like crossing the threshold of opinion into retardation.
And even as a main story mission, I reckon the Geth Dreadnought was worse than Earth.

Aria: Blood Pack. Watching my paragon shep murder on Aria's behalf.
Seems to me like if you didn't want to do bad things to secure forces, you wouldn't want to be trusting murderers to fight for you anyway?
Or is the "trusting anyone and everything no matter what they've done" thing part of the paragon way?
Edit: Forgot to answer the question, was too busy being snarky for no really good reason.
Any quest-type-entity at all? Pretty much take your pick out of any of the ME1 side quests... Especially the ones with 0 real choice or dialogue. Like the one listening post that got hit by rachni? Run in, kill rachni, press button, leave. Lots more like that too.
Mission-specific, like main storyline missions. Might sound odd, but I absolutely loathe Mordin's recruitment mission. Mostly because I play short to mid-range classes, and that early on, a lot of the fights become very tedious.

Dukuna has no excuse. We are supposed to evacuate a planet by scanning it? Really? The Elcor had so much potential for a mission, what with their walking tanks, extreme gravity and this being their homeworld. Instead it was just another fetchquest.

I don't know how people think they're going to recruit organizations like the Blood Pack without at least risking getting their hands dirty in the process. Unlike Jack's recruitment mission, nobody's forcing you to do it.chasemme wrote...

Worst combat mission based on in-game pointless-ness: Kai Leng
Worst combat mission based on un-met expectations: Priority Earth
The common denominator is that these all occurred in ME3, a game which also had some of the best and worst moments and story threads of the series. Paradox!

True. Many of the side-quests in Mass Effect 1 is bad. But... in the end they are just that; Side-quests. Something optional. Something for completionists or people that just wanted to extend the game time.
Priority: Earth was a main quest. And damn important one as well. It should have been the Magnum opus. The epic last battle against the reapers.
The fact that people even compare it with side-quest shows that it failed. It shouldn't even be on the same scale as a side-quest
I'm not saying Priority: Earth is the worst mission in all of the games though.

How can anybody put the Luna Mission above Priority: Earth. Sure, the latter didn't fully deliver but that's because expectations were very high. You still got to talk to your squad and do a couple different things (kill these guys, defend this place, run, say goodbye). On Luna you get to the base, shoot 6 turrets, and then clear out 3 identical bases with the only difference being the number of rocket drones(the last one had about 1244352 of those, I believe). The "escort the YMR" is pretty high up there on the list, too
A lot of the sidequests in ME1 were really bad. The only reason why people put Priority: Earth on the top of their list, is because of all the sentiments towards the endings. Sure there was wasted potential, but the mission, if it was to be judged as a standalone mission, isn't really that bad.

The incredibly tedious gameplay and the awful writing.
Gameplay - I agree. The "awful writing" however might have something to do with your personal bias regarding the Geth/Quarian conflict. Amrite?

I never understood this. Why do people mine AT ALL after their first playthrough? Some people complain about it and yet you get 50000 of each mineral to boot and a bunch just for doing regular missions.
You don't have my ADD, you will never understand. I hate being a completionist at times.
- MUST ... mine ... every ... planet!
- But you'll never use that many resources!
- It says "Rich", I just need about 5-6 probes to get the most of the resources, it'll be fast
20 probes later...
- Goddamit, where is that last batch of minerals. Why is it not "Depleted" yet?

Exactly my thoughts but many of the people who picked it deny that the ending influenced their decision

not the worst, no, but gameplay wise it was still pretty bad. it's the final combat mission of the series and you fight a couple banshees and some brutes... it was poorly thought out, rushed, uninspiring. Even on Insanity it's way too easy and boring. Then you toss in the ****** section where you take control of the gun turret to kill like 10 husks.... so bad. I didn't think Suicide mission was that great gameplay wise either but at least it had interesting elements with your squadmates tied into it... priority Earth didn't have anything.

The reason why is that it's a huge step backwards from the Suicide Mission, it rather dull, there's no tension in comparison to the Suicide Mission hell there's barely any epic moments or for that matter music in comparison.
As for side missions go I completely agree with CynicalShep on the mining in ME2 it took forever and was such a disappointment compare to the side missions in ME1.
ME1 side missions while flawed in that they had cookie-cutter dungeons and way too many mountains "**** you Nodacrux." are still better than mining in ME2 and definitely better than eavesdropping on random civilians to get a random artifact while Reapers chase you the entire time with no space combat just a game over screen if you fail and no way to track progress. Those are the worst side missions and even then they still had a better mining mini-game than ME2.

In my multiple playthroughs...I have never completed that mission...it was that annoying.
Do you get anything good for beating it?

The only thing I can think of was in ME3, the annoying fan guy needs them for something, and if you provide him with all these info you save his life. (Or so I have been told, since he never died in my play throughs I cannot confirm it, but they told me he can die if you fail to provide him all he needs).
