Just got my hands on an XBox with a build of the upcoming ME3 SP DLC. I guess i know what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Hmmmmm, hopefully there'll be more teasers landing in the not too distant future.

What a tease... :crying:

Based on what Chris said about mid-February, I expect it in late Feb. or early March.

Yeah I am still betting on a early March release. That would fit perfectly with the 1 year anniversary of ME3.

So I say March 6 is a pretty safe bet ;)

I'd love to be excited about this but I'm in the process of tempering my expectations. B)

Reject them, then. It's that easy. If they find Shepar... I mean Geralt attractive, then good for him! But it's obvious ingame that the main romance is Triss (Shani's there, but she was retconned out of existance in the Witcher 2 until the EE.)

I liked the Triss romance, but if you don't like Triss then you're screwed. I take iakus's point to be that there is little freedom to associate romance-wise. There is no romance if you don't like the Triss romance.

In general I like it when games allow you freedom to associate with characters. It's why I think Tales of Symphonia is still the best Tales game; I can ignore the Mary Sue and bang the ninja chick. Or I can chill with my bros and not worry about chasing tail. It allows you to identify characteristics to which you can relate and reward them with your time.

I still have sour grapes that Saskia wasn't romance-able. I think her character was fascinating but also deeply sad and alone at the same time.

Has anyone poured through the books or comics to see if this casino has been mentioned?

Indeed.  There were endless options for one night stands, but your options are very limited for anything with any emotion behind it.   I did like the Shani storyline, but from what I understand, that didn't take in the sequel.

Also, I seem to recall there are some ponts where Geralt pretty much has no choice but to sleep with someone, and the occassions where Geralt turns a woman down made him sound like a jerk.

Actually, I had a similar (but much smaller scale) romance problem with ME2 this way, where the potential LIs on the Normandy pretty much throw themselves at Shepard after completing their loyalty missions.  I definitely liked the option in ME3 where there's an obvious flirt otpion to start things, rather than have awkward moment after awkward moment.

I saw a response somewhere (not sure if it was in this thread) saying that they didn't think it was in any of the comics or books.

Sorry to be vague but I can't recall where I saw that specific response.

Nor can I be 100% certain that that particular poster was accurate, although I feel like someone else would've found it if it was mentioned elsewhere.

This is a problem in ME1 with Liara as well. I tend to like the Tali romance more because it takes more time to develop.

OTOH, there's nothing wrong with one or two LIs throwing themselves at your PC. Sometimes people do that, and there's nothing wrong with an RPG having an awkward moment or two.

A photograph can take you back in time to places and embraces that you thought you'd left behind. –The Tigger Movie

Retweeted by Michael Gamble.

OK here goes...

A song called "Your Heart Will Lead You Home" is in this movie. some of it's lyrics are as follows...

"If you feel lost and on your own
And far from home
You're never alone, you know
Just think of your friends
The ones who care
They all will be waitin' there
With love to share
And your heart will lead you home

Funny how a photograph
Can take you back in time
To places and embraces
That you thought you'd left behind
They're tryin' to remind you
That you're not the only one
That no one is an island
When all is said and one

If you feel lost and on your own
And far from home
You're never alone, you know
Just think of your friends

The ones who care
They all will be waitin' there with love to share
And your heart will lead you home

There'll come a day
When you're losin' your way
And you won't know where you belong
They say that home is where the heart is

So follow your heart
And know that you can't go wrong"

On the PC, the patch we just got had files that were three weeks old, so I think we have at least that much time to wait once the DLC is finalized.

So it's couple weeks from release and we know very little about it. Strange considering how predictable the Leviathan and Omega DLCs were

The only core fact we know is, uh, a piece of DLC is coming that features all the writers and music composers.  Patrick Weekes suggests the crew is very proud of it, and at least one frame of it takes place in front of a casino.
