If the DLC involves drinking and partying with all my old ME buddies, then I will gladly go in debt from throwing money at Bioware. I'm literally throwing spare change at the Bioware logo I've pulled up on google right now.

I'm all for anything that includes more character stuff. It's why I'm not particularly excited about playing Omega.

There was a Hooters several years back which had a contest to see which waitress could sell the most beer. The waitresses were lead to believe that the prize was a new Toyota, right up until the moment when the winner was escorted, blindfolded, to the parking lot and presented with a new toy Yoda. Technically, she was given the prize she was promised. Practically, Hooters pulled a bait-and-switch on her; implying that she would get one thing while actually delivering another. If you've read the Dev Promises thread, than you're aware of what they were implying ME3 would be. Steak. Carrot.

Again, that's your subjective label.  Deciding that ME3 was really a "carrot" in this analogy is just purely a matter of your taste.  Others may see it as a different kind of steak.

Oh, and implying that humans have a right to "bite the face off" of someone implies that we are no better than dogs.

I was fine with Omega because I like anything that is even remotely similar to "Blade Runner" or "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?". Nyreen was fine and Oleg wasn't too bad, if a little confusing when it came to his actions. That said, I fully understand why people would avoid it like Chris Brown's fist avoids the air around Rihanna's face; from the price to the lack of other squad mates to the usual "It doesn't change the ending so I don't want it." that is seen around these parts. To each their own, I suppose.

We're going to have to agree to disagree, then. I have my viewpoint, you have yours, and neither of us seem interested in budging. (Though if you have any ideas on how I could get my $80 back, I'm all ears!)

As for the dog comparison, I personally believe we should emulate them more. Dogs tend to be much nicer people than humans are!

I personally think the next time you have $80 to blow you should spend it on a nice steak.

SOunds nice, but wouldn't that just make the endings even more bitter?

Then the whole "high potential for tears" deal would be spot on. If the DLC makes you feel a range of emotions and tells a decent story, then the writers did a wonderful job and should be proud of the work.

But seriously, I just want to get drunk and BS with Garrus for an hour or two. If the DLC is just that, then I will die happy when I choose whatever color ending.

We aren't. Objectively, there is no such thing as a hierarchical value to life. Subjectively, we assign life whatever value we desire. It is arbitrary and meaningless.

And newsflash - if you tease or torture a human being, we react in exactly the same way that a dog does most of the time.

As for the dog comparison, I personally believe we should emulate them more. Dogs tend to be much nicer people than humans are!

I wholeheartedly agree.

Turns out that's what this DLC is about. You only think you are going to a casino, then you find a lost dog on your way and adopt it. The galaxy isn't worth saving if that dog doesn't have a home.

If this is all this DLC is going to be about...then I will be severly disapointed. I couldn't care less about parties and drinking, I dont do it in real life and sure as hell dont want to do it in a damn game. If something like THIS is what they are spending their time on, then there is simply no hope for them. Lets be honest most people are so focused on the ending they are ignoreing the many OTHER problems ME3 has, like lackluster RPG elements overall, sure there was more than 2 but it's impossible to be worse than that.

IF this is what their doing, then I don't care one bit about this company anymore. I have bought Leviathan and Omega (which I regret buying immensly) in the hopes of them adressing issues the game possesed. Leviathan for the most part did this, Omega just made the games problems more apparent and annoying, not a good sign for the future of the IP.

Relax. I sincerely doubt they would limit this DLC to partying, drinking, and gambling. Why would they need eight writers for something that superficial? Do you think the "high potential for tears" is from Shepard losing all of his credits playing quasar?

I wouldn't mind the DLC adding a musical number from Liara, similar to the one Leliana has in DAO.

Just becaues of this, I want them to not only do this, but make the DLC more Liara centric than LotSB.

Hell make Liara the only squadmate and character, as well as making her a main character in ME4.

Make it happen BioWare.

Holly molly, why did they delete that? To stop any potential "Shepard is dead or is dreaming" theories?

I want more moments with Ash :(

Hold on, how can the DLC be a post ending DLC of us drinking with our buddies in a casino?

2 out of 3 of the endings you are dead, only 1 you can survive in ( providing your war assets were high enough)

Any post ending DLC would have to completely ignore the fact that you were dead (if you picked control or synthesis)

also the citadel is a complete mess and the relays may be screwed.

I don't understand why they took that scene out. Even if you didn't romance Ashley, it suits her character perfectly and actually gives your shep a chance to talk about what happened.the whole game seems to gloss over his/her death until the very end, when it just says 'yeah so that happened.' Also Ashley's content was lacking compared to kaidan's, it really needed something.

*snip*

*jaw drop* uh, why wasn't this left in? I was dying to see shepard talk about this with someone. He/she died! I always found that odd that we don't really see any in-depth conversation about this topic untill TIM's base. Even during ME2 I wanted Garrus/Tali/anyone to say how they reacted to shep dying or shep telling them what they thought about being brought back from the dead (Am I still me? What if cerberus altered me? etc). I felt they missed a trick there.

^ This would have been great, and I'm an atheist (so is my shep) and I thought this was the perfect conversation for Ashley to have with shepard. Such a shame.

It could work! In the middle of a mission, if the team is stuck in a cave, or undercover in a nightclub, or something. James could pull out his harmonica, someone could omni-tool up a synthesizer...
