I'd rather the return of Gianna.

A couple of points:
1 - We have said that the DLC does not change the ending of the game. That would apply to changing movies involved in the ending.

Where'd he say that?  What's the context behind it?  Because the way it reads makes it sounds like they aren't changing the end "movies".

Because it will eat up the line budget.

The last thing I want in this DLC is a parade of bit characters and extras from the previous two games, stealing content from the characters that were deemed important enough to actually get screentime in ME3.

Even a single line for Gianna is a line that can be better spent elsewhere. I'm not sure why somebody would want to see Gianna's character arc wrapped up in a conversation that consists entirely of 4 or 5 lines (same for any of the other narratively irrelevant characters), especially when once you get out of the DLC's walled garden, you'll never hear anything about it ever again or see any impact from it whatsoever in the rest of the game.

It seems at this point that "your feedback matters" is simply a PR statement and not much more. It takes only 3 minutes on the internet to know what most people want to see - the fact that over the course of a year very little of it has come to fruition says it all.

LMAO  sooo true[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

I actually got a little angry at the assumptions here. Then I calmed down. Then some coffee. Then I played some more of the upcoming DLC. Now I'm replying.

We absolutely do listen to feedback and the feedback you give us matters. I cannot discuss the upcoming DLC yet, but I think people will see that we listened to feedback and, hopefully, you will see that reflected in the product.

HOWEVER

We said that with the release of the Extended Cut, we were done with the endings of Mass Effect 3. We stated this very clearly and kept saying it multiple times. If you chose to ignore this and continued to give feedback about the ending, that was absolutely your right. I hope you enjoyed yourself, but we said we were done with the endings.

To say "they're not giving us new endings, they aren't listening" (or whatever) is not true. You assumed that, despite us repeatedly saying we would not change the ending, that we would change the ending. We are listening, but we said almost 9 months ago that the endings would not change, you ignored this. You also assume that the only feedback we had was about the ending of the game.

As I said, hopefully you will see the new DLC (whether you buy it immediately, wait for reviews, wait for YouTube, etc) does take feedback into consideration. We will be talking more about the DLC before it comes out (hopefully next week, but it is still TBD) and you'll like what you see and get it.

It could also be the Yahg

The yahg already exist in the game. Why would a new yahg character prompt NSFW pictures? I guess if she is female, since we haven't seen one yet. Female anything is more likely to get NSFW art done...

Maybe we are getting a female krogan squad member. I'm starting to think that the krogan with the grav-hammer is actually a teaser for SP, and it's a lady. She joins the squad, making her more likely to receive NSFW fanart than Eve. A female krogon would terrify Weekes...

So, since this thing is basically content done and being playtested, how long does it usually take to go from that to release?

Okay so endings are done and dusted... accepted that, but post ending? epilogue?

I posted on facebook that they (Bioware) would not leave it there... the reply? thank you for your faith in us.

It won't be an epilogue. Only one ending of three has shep alive.

I'm hoping they can start talking about this either later this week or next week. The 1 year anniversary is in 3 weeks, and 2 days.

Krogan female is highly unlikely imo.
Eve was the first female Krogan to be seen and resolved a mystery in the IP, adding another female Krogan would result in Eve not having as much of an impact in the story.

Is this legit? Why would they tease another picture from a random twitter account with 0 followers?

EDIT: That makes sense. I doubt they'd tease it like that.

Hentai artists have a wild imagination you know... to me Patrick's tweet means that we'll encounter a new kind of enemy which because of the way it looks (tentacles perhaps) could potentially lead to such "art".

The first picture is clearly a multiplayer dlc; its a new krogan character on the Firebase Goddess map.

When are both of these coming!? I can't wait any more. My 4 balls are tingling.

Played Skyrim just earlier after a long hiatus- I killed a dozen giant spiders, then got killed by a stupid winter ghost AKA Wispmother. Good game, but after a long time I get bored as hell.

The thing I don't understand about this is, how is "we are listening" and "we are no longer working on the ending DLCs" not counter-statements? You can't say that. The community is very divided on that issue. Before the extended cut, I was an ending hater. Afterwards, I think it is okay. Definitely not great. It is a suitable ending, but MY issue with it is that our choices STILL don't matter at all. A 3-5 minute long motion-comic-esc video at the end of every ending does not compensate for all the promises of your choices having huge consequences. That is something that I feel they did not address with all their "listening". I wouldn't have a problem with the game exactly the way it is, if it were not for the fact that in almost every interview they promised huge, polarizing consequences for each choice.

Overall, I am not upset with the ending (now), but I am still upset that they claim to be "listening" but ignore many people still being upset with unfufilled promises. I understand they cannot keep working on the ending because they can never make everyone happy. But what are the top complaints about the game now? Probably for multiplayer: Many people want more salarians, and some female characters for races. More weapons, and more maps. Right? (add anything else you guys hear a lot). Then single player: The ending is the top complaint you hear, next is your choices not mattering in the final game hardly at all, then certain love interests given very little screen time, then certain missions being exactly the same no matter your choice, then the lesser-mentioned ones.

To say that they are "listening" and then pump out another pointless single-player DLC that only adds more dramatic, large events that somehow end up having no baring on the story (by the end of it and leave a nice, clean, reinsertion into the main story) just makes it seem like their statements are for PR purposes only. Especially considering the price for how short they are. If you expect me to buy the DLCs, for that price they should integrate into the overall story. For the DLCs' stories to be a separate, side-story to enjoy, they should be priced accordingly. when the main game is now $40 American (roughly) and they charge 800 points ($10 American) for something that is about 5% as long as the overall game, that just seems...silly. No?
And yes, I am thoroughly prepared to get flamed for this, but I just thought I would share my thoughts.
I bought the DLCs regardless because I had the points, but my reasoning behind feeling overcharged and disappointed still stand...:?

They addressed the endings the way they wanted. Just because they're not gonna keep giving you new endings every time they release a DLC, doesn't mean they haven't taken feedback and implemented it within their DLCs

Maybe they didn't take your feedback. They didn't take mine either.

But some people wanted to fight along side Aria. Some people wanted to simply "see" what a female Turian looks like. Bioware gave us one as a squadmate. A lot of people wanted squad dialogue. Leviathan was fully voiced.

So they have been listening. To say that Bioware doesn't listen to feedback, is a false claim and nothing more....

Thank you for entirely missing my point on purpose. I will not allow this to become a religious debate, but the short version: no you cannot say you are listening and trying your best to address all complaints and say that you are not editing the biggest complaints the people have with the game.
Your quote does apply to the ending in the terms of writing and material. That is what they chose to write, and they have that right. Then never promised that the ending wouldn't be this way (minus the famous ABC quote), so that is not necessarily the issue. And, like i said and I think you missed, they cannot please everyone so they have to say no after the extended cut.
However, they promised their fans that there would be verrrryyyy different scenerios depending on your choices from the second and first games, and they are not even present for the most part. It is an issue that they can still fix, somewhat, without affecting the ending too much, but they don't do it. Despite it being one of the top three complaints with the game...
Just because it would be hard to do, doesn't mean that they shouldn't do it.
