Here's the thing though, what about people who only have James, EDI and Liara alive in their playthroughs? Which is entirely possible.

I mean... this kind of isn't going to work if it is strictly character DLC considering so many characters can be dead. Or at least, the logistics would be a god awful nightmare.

Hence "all hands on deck?"

Maybe that's exacrtly why they brought all the writers in.

But also ... for the scenario you presented:  I wonder what percentage of players went through ME3 with only those three characters being alive?

I agree that it's possible, so it has to be accounted for, but I bet it's not a big margin of players.

The second one looks kinda cool but I really hope that they don't put some R&R stuff in the "OH MY GOD!! THE REAPERS KILL EVERYONE!!" storyline of the game. Right now I can't imagine how Bioware could pull that off without killing the mood.

While I do agree, that didn't stop people from dancing at Purgatory. It's entirely possible that people come for some R&R to forget about their worries, sit back, and have a drink, as if it were their last.

Okay. Being completely serious now. Considering it's 2 pictures out of context, we have no idea what is what. I will speculate that the first picture look to indeed be Multiplayer, but it could be something else. But that second picture? I honestly have no solid idea what it might be. They obviously will not spoil anything until a trailer so it's pointless to jump to absolutes right now...but, for now, I'm just going to continue to ride the hype train. Choo-Choo.

I can't see it being post ending, though. This is more than likely the Citadel, but the Citadel is in ruins in at least two of the endings, Destroy and Synthesis.

Unless this takes place like five years later and is a re-union or something. But if that's the case, well... uh... Shepard is dead in two of the endings. So...

There's no way this is post ending, for those saying it is.

hype train has begun... it doesn´t look like Wrex, not unless if they are going to change his typical red armor for this weird whatever colour it is gear -_- not to mentioned that they are going again with typical videogamey kind of guy with big mace smashing soil under his feet... uh

Yeah, well, forgive me if I have trouble going from

"I'll sleep when I'm dead."

To

"Yeah, Jack! Take it off!"

I mean, when you meet the characters for a drink or whatever on the Citadel in the vanilla game, half the time even that's about business. Meeting Jack for example, sure you share a dance, but it's only after you talk about what's going on in the war and while Shepard is on the station doing ****. You get the sense that Shepard is taking the moments when he can, not that he's looking to take a day off or whatever.

And I agree with you. And it seems they have all writers on board, so they must have a reason for this. Anyway, we can specualte all we want, we're not going to find out anytime soon.

Creating a dlc that panders to players who got all but those 3 squadmates killed is just as likely as them creating a dlc specifically for people who chose to recruit Morinth. Scratch that, there's probably an even lower chance.

Agreed on that. Not to mention, having Shepard come back for one ending selection, leaving the other three out, would further fracture the fanbase and cause more hatred than acceptance.Only way I could see a post-ending DLC work is if the player is given control of a party member or something, but even then that would be something that I think couldn't happen.

Also, might be stating the obvious at this point, but Gamble's "twofer" comment also implies paid SP DLC alongside free MP DLC. Possibly same day release as well?

All that silver talk almost makes me think it is the "Turian" ward of the citadel. That is about all the speculation I can muster from that screen.

That's the thing, they've never made a DLC that panders to anyone. Ever. No DLC has ever had drastic outside variables going into it such as the possibility of over 80% of the people it stars being dead. The only DLC that came close was Shadow Broker, but even then the only variable was whether or not you banged Liara.

I can't see them putting so much time and resources into something like this. Which is mind boggling, because they evidently did.

Here's an interesting thought: what if the dlc isn't combat based but character centered? No combat at all, just traveling the galaxy and meeting your friends?

That would be good, but if all roads still lead to hell, well then that would be terrible.

So much hope in this thread.

I would say "don't hope for anything", but at the very least don't hope for too much. It is highly unlikely that BioWare will be able to deliver even a fraction of what you're dreaming of.

I recall in another thread someone mentioning that BW was planning to get all the voice actors together for this DLC, do anyone know if this is true?

But Wrex being in DLC leaves open the door for other might be dead characters to show up. *hope level rising*

Wrex's appearance is probably circumstantial.

If he died, might be somebody else.

Sort of my point. I never thought they'd stick in a "might be dead" character at all. So now, say, Miranda and Jack are possible.

Oh man ... I am trying not to get my hopes up for that.

God, this just screams DLC about getting all the characters back together for one last farewell. Which is going to suck so hard if it's pre-ending, because it just makes it feel that much worse.

Gah.

So another two or three weeks before we hear more, I imagine? Mr. Priestly did suggest some time in the middle of February.

Sounds good, the less combat the better, more story!

Joker and Kaiden are confirmed, as is Wrex, now.

Does that look like Alenko's hairstyle from the back, certainly doesn't look like Sheps?.

If that is Wrex and Kaidan there's a pretty small window of time where this could occur. It would have to happen after the coup attempt but before Wrex confronts Shepard if the genophage cure was sabataged.

well hell I don't know what to say, i grow tired of these mind games but alas I guess i'll keep hope alive for a little longer, nothing to loose. They will make their own bed eventually.
