When I see someone pretentious enough to call himself "Best of the Best", I'll switch to an "underpowered" class and outscore the **** out of them without using a single missile while doing every single objective, just to prove that they're not even close to being the best of the best and they should feel silly for using such a pretentious title. 

I don't wear the banner because I think I'm awesome, I wear it because it shows that I have the other banners. Don't pretend that you think people actually apply their banner titles to themselves. Or do you really think every "Monster" is a pedophile or serial killer or some ****?

What's next ? you switch to other Shotguns, SMG, AR,Pistol and outscore the **** of them because of a weapon banner ?

Pedophile?!!!  Where the hell did you get that from? That's a bit too left field to be using as an argument.

I dont see that banner much. One time I saw it the player sure did die a lot and overal did not perform well as a soldier. Those who sport the lone wolf banner have been doing something get a bad reputation like missle glitching or somethign else.

Overall all though I just think of banners as an expression of something that the player has accomplished and a number of them do so a level of experience to be obtained. There are also those banners that players just find cool. If I see someone with the combat banner I am not going to expect them to pull off 50 mele and 20 grab kills. I am close to the hardcore banner and will sport it for a bit mostly just to show that I have dumped a bunch of time into this game and cuss can. Next banner after that is hopefully the Monster one as I find it cool looking.

So far I haven't had any trouble with people for having a banner. Today someone acknowledged that my outsider banner that I was sporting looked cool. I don't have the lone wolf or BotB yet. Lone wolf will probably be the last one I try to do. Just need Machine Mastery and Lone Wolf to get BotB now.

I just got my Lone Wolf Banner and I tested this to see if it was true. Sure enough someone tried to boot me. Thankfully it was only one guy and the match went on regardless.

Then again, this is on PS3. So, it's probably more of an "awe" factor that I played Collectors enough without freezing to even get the banner. LOL

Collector General and Cyber Warrior are comparatively rare; the Reapers and Cerberus banners are a lot more popular on PS3 for some reason. Hence the awe factor that the Geth and Collectors banners carry on Gold and, especially, Silver. People just don't see them that often.

I myself am using Cyber Warrior, as I see you are. I don't think I'll change it until I get Nomad

I literally just unlocked Cyber Warrior on Sunday, so it is my new "shiny" and I am running it now.

Most likely won't change again until I either a) unlock a new banner, unlock the Nomad I want or c) unlock the Hardcore I want.

When I first picked up the BotB banner I used it for a few weeks. Mostly one of two reactions, first was overcompensation, the other was awe (I play on PS3). Both seemed inappropriate, . So I've been wearing the Nomad banner. Funny thing is, the people who felt the need to insult me tended to not be very good players, and the people who were complimentary tended to be good players.

p.s. Top street cred seems to be with the Monster banner ha ha.

 The first banner I unlocked was Mathemagician, and even after unlocking everything besides Nomad, Outsider, and BotB, nothing really seems as applicable. That said, I hate being the only person in a silver round with a banner. I feel like it sets me up for unreal expectations.

That said, I don't ever run Lone Wolf because I'm the jackass that gets killed three times sprinting across the map to rez somebody.

Don't want to be a dick or anything, but with your manifest, you probably shouldn't be playing Gold just yet. Stick to recruit packs until your common weapons and mods are maxed. Use SPs until your uncommons are maxed, then PSPs for rares+.

I still wouldn't kick you; I generally don't kick on Gold.

I generally don't kick until after I've played a match with someone and they've proven worthy of a kick... and it's rare that I stay around to kick them. The group has to be good in spite of the person that should be kicked for me to stay and kick them.

But Nomad is awesome. For one, it's just a sharp-looking banner. And secondly, it actually means something - that you, if nothing else, know how to handle yourself on all maps up to Gold or even Platinum. I always comment on Nomad banners in PS3 lobbies because you... never... see... them. 10 Gold map completions away from mine. Reckon I'll have it before my Hardcore, so it's next on my radar (though not a grind since I do U/U/G so much).

These are great points. This is basically why I have everything besides my Nomad- I grind on silver so I don't get in the way of gold players who are loads more awesome than I.

Also, in my short stint on ME3 MP on the Playstation before mine went kaputt, I did notice a marked difference between how PSN functions and XBL functions.
