yeah totally. They dont even wait for it. Like 16 hours after Shepard is dead they will already be hitting it up.

Well considering how Kal died so he can't ever know the love of Tali and Shep dies and or they're isolated from one another in the best destroy if Garrus is interested in her it's plausible.

In a situation where anyone who looked like they were interested in Tali ended up dead Garrus might steer well clear...

I found the Garrus/Tali romance to be a bit out of the blue. I could understand it with Ken/Gabby and Joker/EDI, both of which had been hinted at numerous times, but Garrus and Tali spend plenty of time together without getting flirtatious until near the end of ME3. They worked as platonic friends in ME2, e.g. Tali's "I have a shotgun" when Garrus won't stop joking about the elevator rides and her immune system, or Garrus's "remind me not to get on your bad side" when Tali confronts the volus on the Citadel, but I never saw any implications of romance.

They always did have more of a "sibling" vibe to me.

I think this belongs here:

Garrus/Tali was a fairly popular ship from the ME1/BioBoards days. Not quite to level that people demanded being able to romance them themselves, but it was there. It's essentially a shoutout to the fans, or PANDA RINGS, if you're inclined to take a negative view of it (not saying that you are).

An interesting observation. Perhaps the desperation of the final conflict with the Reapers brought the two together. I wonder if they had just a brother-sister relationship until that point, and then after that things got really awkward.

My Shepard lived, so that's irrelevant! /headcanon

Exactly.  My Shep got married to Tali and they adopted a quarian kid.

Also thought that they were a very sweet couple, actually took them on missions together in several PT:s so they would get some dates. I think that they work well together. But the current FemShep that romances Garrus will keep him all for herself  :P

I agree totally. Especially since they've been hinting at Garrus/Dr. Michel since ME 2. But Tali and Garrus? It's the very definition of a "crack pairing". No buildup, no previous chemistry, not a hint of romantic interest... it just happened over night, pretty much.

In fact, I do remember reading that it was supposed to be an "easter egg" or some sort of "haha! Wouldn't this be funny?" moment, but I found it to be in poor taste.

As one who frequently romances Tali, I now have a dreaded fear that Bioware will make the Garrus and Tali thing "stick", simply because people (often that have never romanced Tali or Garrus) think it's "funny".

Ah well, nothing I can do about it... except go back in time and slap the dude that came up with the awful idea, LOL!
