I'm going to report to me3mpcheaters@biower.com any krogan that I see who isn't carrying a claymore.

Because, we must teach them the art of being a krogan.

as I said to my friend, it might be krogan infiltrator with the same power as N7 Shadow's Shadow-strike, but instead of a sword, krogan will have this hammer and the power will be named Sulik-strike (Fallout 2 reference ;) )

It's not going to be an infiltrator.

Look at that dirty-great-big krogan.

Look at that dirty-great-big hammer he's wielding.

Look up the meaning of the word infiltrate.

Then try to picture the two coalescing in some form.

Yeah, it's not happening.

The only thing that Krogan "infiltrate" are the Ryncol stores when they're out of credits. But they do it by smashing the doors into pieces. Usually the booze store raid group includes the store owner.

you both are wrong, krogan have infiltrators (tech and combat specialists) see the chief scout on Tuchanka in ME2, that's example of krogan infiltrator =]

scout;

Noun:A soldier or other person sent out ahead of a main force so as to gather information about the enemy's position, strength, or movements.

Verb: Make a search for someone or something in various places.

in·fil·trate
Verb: Gain access to (an organization, place, etc.) furtively and gradually, esp. in order to acquire secret information. Permeate or become a part of (something) in this way: "computing has infiltrated most professions now".

Like I said, it's not going to happen. And please don't tell me I'm wrong when scouting =/= infiltration, what is so hard to understand about that.

And why does everyone want more infiltrators? We have more than enough boring, clichéd, monotonous infiltrators as it is; without adding more. Stop ruining the idea of a new krogan by blemishing it with the word "infiltrator" all the time. There are many cool concepts for krogan possibilities without it having to be ridiculously flawed and thus laughably impossible.

Please, stop saying krogan and infiltrator in the same sentence, it is an utterly laughable concept.

1. quibble

2. infiltrator is just a name in mass effect, that stands for combat and tech specialist, you are telling me that no krogan can use omni tool and tech attacks, using sniper rifles, and sneak? come on who is laughable now
forget about stupid tactical cloak!
remember infiltrator  in ME1 ?
and ME2? krogan infiltrator tent to do more sabotaging than "infiltrating" but they still have combat and tech specialist, using sniper rifles or whatever
I for example don't use TC ever, I have every infiltrator set as combat + tech specialist, with points put into fitness instead of TC
and that's the idea of mass effectish "infiltrator"
=]

Now > then.

If it doesn't have tactical cloak, there's no need to call it an infiltrator.

It's a soldier. Or it's something else.

for me: Now < then ;)

as I said it's just a name of the class, and the main idea is to have combat and tech powers

it used to be like that, the paradigm shifted. Now when sth has tech & combat powers it's a Soldier if it hasn't got the Tactical Cloak. See "Vorcha Soldier/Geth Trooper"

yeah I know but the original canon idea is that infiltrators are combat and tech specialists
I am not like Bioware I refuse to throw ME1 away and forget about it

many would argue with you that the current state is better than the straightforward system of ME1.

I, for example, find the idea of  'signature powers' like TC, Tech Armor and Biotic Charge utterly stupid. I won't ever be excited about a new Infiltrator or Vanguard the way I am excited about a new Engineer or Adept, because I already know the 'main power' of the kit.

Bugs aside, I think that the N7 Paladin is the best character in his class. Because he doesn't have Tech Armor.

The worst kit (as for the design, not fun factor) would be the Volus Vanguard, sporting both Biotic Charge (VG signature power) and Shield Boost (as all the Volus do).

I don't like signature powers either
I think biotic charge is stupid, and illogical
for me Krogan Shaman (adept) is what vanguard should be about, strong barriers, debuffing/damaging powers
bio. chaarge is plain stupid

True that, but it would be pretty stupid if we got like 6 Krogans with Warhammers. Or if we got another Krogan biotic, again with the Barrier.

If that guy is really a playable class, then I assume it comes along with a patch, because melee weapons are not in the game at present and that needs to be included in the basic gameplay files. (Could be wrong because I didn't mine any files, but I haven't heard from any melee weapons yet.)

While they're at it, it would be the best time to add the new stuff they were thinking about as patches are costly and we saw them rarely in the past.
For that I assume we might see more uniqueness in new characters.

Shadow and Slayer have swords.

The Hammer (presumably) will play a similair role.

It could be similar to the Shadow/Slayer melee. That Hammar could be strapped to his back for all we know.

"If I had a hammer...."
Indeed, the Shadow uses the sword in her ability, too. And some of the SS animation could be used for fixing stuff by hitting nails in the head.
I wonder if it is a contemplation about maintenance people in Canadian cities.

Back to the topic:

Should the Sluggernaut (as the melee character) be immune to stagger?

I think that with a playstyle I'm predicting for me, Annomander and alikes, it is really a necessity.
We already have a stagger-proof Destroyer. The Sluggernaut should be no different.

Absolutely, if he doesn't have a general stagger immunity it should be at least ensured he can't be staggered out of a melee animation. Or maybe he can but since the hammer is already under way it *must* still connect, shatter the enemy and send the remains in the direction of the four winds.

Good choice, I'll use your post as an excuse for a bump.

Personally, I prefer active powers to armors and alikes. Should the Sluggernaut have 3 active powers, or should he have a power boosting his already glorious fitness?

Assuming he is an Engineer, I'd like to see him with Defense Matrix. But I am happy no matter what because Krogan.

Clearly the best way to fix something is to hit it with a colossal hammer. Makes perfect sense to me.
