I don't care about banners... I just want more female characters!

Also more Salarians. it bothers me that Batarians have almost died out and Drell are exceedingly rare but some how a metric ****ton of them have joined up to the cause and there is but a whisper from the Salarians.

Past that- yes, female Drell, Turians, Krogan, Salarians--this would be fascinating. I just hate complaining because we really do have a ton of choices already in terms of gameplay, and it's a lot to balance. Honestly, they added more Turians (including an Infiltrator) so I really have little ground to complain anyway.

Best of the Best doesn't even look good IMO.

A fshep version would look just as bad.

Not necessarily:

I still want this.

Asked a bioware dev about this today earlier:

Can you please tell me if it is possible to make a "female"-version of the Best of The Best banner available? If not, why?
Here is the link to my post regarding this request:
http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/343/index/15550388

got this response:

While I cannot answer the "why" question on the banner, I can pass your feedback along to the team.

So i hope we will get something soon...

Bryan Johnson stated that there can not be multiple banners for a single challenge. So there will not be a female BotB banner. End of story.

Who knows if they won't add more challenges and there isn't a banner with Femshep on it in this theoretical new challenges - but we are absolutely not getting a female version of any existing challenge banners.

Challenge: Complete the Mass Effect Challenge, but how would people get it that already got BotB?

A female shepard banner would still be fair for new challanges or events

well I like to believe their is still some heart and consideration within the bioware community

I play SP as femshep & i would love to see an option to choose between male or female versions of the banner.

Unfortunately I can't share the belief you express in people as it has been beaten out of me by reading too many imature, sexist rants from BSNers.

Hopefully Bioware staff are more reasonable, but I suspect they have more important things to do like new DLC & ME4.

Maybe i'm just pessimistic?!?

You won't get it because men are more important than women to Biower.

There is no sexism. Sirian is just being Sirian.

That said I would say there is a good chance that there will be no femshep BotB banner.

One challenge cannot award two banners and doesn't appear to be designed to do so. Trying to change the system to be able to do it is likely a non trivial task.

 1. Stop spamming your own thread.

2. This isn't ****** for tat - bioware chose to make the ultimate banner from the promotional shepard. That doesn't mean they would "have" to reciprocate with something for femshep: it's an artistic choice based on the original, default character for all 3 games, if anything it's fitting it's John shep.

3. The rise in feminism and diverting resources to pleasing minorities is one of the things that led to a decline in quality of other areas of me3 - how is that fair for everyone?

I think at this point people are just asking for A banner with FemShep, not an alternate BotB.

If they release new challenges (like they should), one could definitely have FemShep on it. I'm thinking a vanilla human kits challenge, "Alliance Veteran" with FemShep, Kaidan and Ash on it, pre-Virmire. Old-school. I'd wear it.

Sadly there are only 18% of us playing ME3. So the player base is still pretty much male dominated.

Add to that the vast majority of ppl involved in the game's production and...well I think you could be waiting sometime for that banner.

And for the record - I am happily married, 25th anniversary this year and I have nothing against males of the species. I say that for all the mysogynist's out there.

And whilst it may not be possible to introduce two different banners. Being as though female characters have been a big part of Mass Effect since its creation (despite your rather puerile comments Jebel). It wouldn't be unreasonable to incorporate both versions of Shepard in the same banner. Satisfying either player gender. Simple?

hey not everything should always be male dominated and they could easily make a simple challange to make a female shepard banner and I highly doubt it would take much resources to create so no and no

Don't you think making the hypothetical femshep banner challenge "simple" would be even worse than not having one at all?  I can just picture the grief now.

Also, EVERYTHING takes resources.  If you're not the one putting out the time and resources to do it, you don't really get to say how easy it probably is for someone else.

Hard to say. I don't think it would be too hard to do this in a DLC or patch, though I'd probably not expect it in the next DLC unless it's already been planned for. I would guess that it's either in certification or about to be at this point(though obviously I can't say this for certain).
