 Nothing makes this game less fun than when the game stops being about team play and becomes a pissing competition for best score. Noobs will race to their deaths abandon their teammates leaving them to die in turn just to get that one extra kill. Time for a NEW score system.

Positive scores: (doing these things will increase your score)
revives
assists
detonates
sheilds restores
debuffs/weakens
protects (biotic sphere)

Negative scores:
solo kills
missles used on non objective waves
running too far from teammates
bleed outs

This would encourage fun and team play.


PS: In order to appease the score **** enthusiasts, any player could enter solo mode provided they are actualy soloing and recieve a score based off the old system. 

So basically you are suggesting that:

If a team mate is down and i kill the stuff around him before revive i get a malus

If i use a missile to save a team mate on a non objective wave i get a malus

If a moron run on the other side of the map die, and i don't revive him i get a malus

If i go revive the moron i get a malus for be too far away from the team

If i run away from something and i get to far from the team i get a malus

If the team split up for any reason everyone get a malus

If i do the disable/pizza alone or the team cover me from distance i get a malus

If i use a fury/valkyrie, no matter how good i play, i will probably be at the bottom 99% of the times (cuz you know they self detonate very well)

If i'm the only biotic on the team, no matter how good i play, i will be at the bottom of the scoreboard 99% of the times

If i use a shadow with SS,  no matter how good i play, i will probably be at the bottom of the scoreboard 99% of the time

If i use a AA with stasis vs cerberus,  no matter how good i play, i will probably be at the bottom of the scoreboard 99% of the time

If i use any weapon that can one-shot non boss unit, or i'm too good with headshot i get a malus

If i kill a turret i get a malus

If the team is surrounded on a non objective wave and instead of dumb reviving i use a missile i get a BIG malus

If i clear a spawn point on a non objective wave i get a BIG malus

If i'm the last man standing and i manage to clear the wave (and pray its not a non objective wave!!) its basically worse than die on the first 5 second

So basically your idea of good team is to camp all the match in a sigle spot, moving in a group like in a parade and using a kit/weapon that need at least 10 second to kill anything, so everybody can have fun and shoot the same thing?

OP it seems fairly clear that the definition of better for you is one that the majority on the board do not sure. I have to say after reading through, I havent seen a person agree with all the points in the initial post. All I have seen from a couple posters is "good idea, bad execution".

The insults that are coming from this thread are quite close to getting this thread shut down and people warned/banned.

There are multiple things which don't work with your plan as others have pointed out, furthermore something like shield boost, and bubble were dreamed up far after the game had been already created. You can't create a system around what you might do in the future.

There is another thread that takes some of the more "agreeable" points from this thread and is not having the same direction as this thread (ie OP vs the community). One in which you have also posted in and agreed with.

I will close this thread down if there is more general insults.

and yet the insults continue. I don't understand why people can't just say "I disagree," without getting so upset.

i am intrigued how you came to this conclusion. by your reasoning the only games that have succeeded in extraction are yours alone. i can assure you that there are many more playstyles out there than just yours and many more people have extracted. more so almost everyone (politely or not) has told you that your idea of right is not the same as theres and yet you still regard them as if they were a rounding error. also no i mean t-rex to homosapian

theres absolutely nothing wrong with outscoring everyone i can use a volus beat everyone in score heal and revive everyone and do all the objectives faster than anyone else and why because im not a useless **** you only want more points for your actions to justify you texting and hiding while your team defends you and you spam shield restore **** your useless system

How, with all the people disagreeing with you, have you not evolved and built up your idea into something grand? Currently I see you holding onto your original idea like in tug of war, not wanting it to budge, no matter how many people pile on the other side, how have you not been inspired by some of these posts into taking your idea and changing it into something bigger than the original.

People who have played this game with Walrus from the beginning are generally the ones who absorb this sort of impossible scenario and keep on keepn' on. For the rest of you like kingvenom whois simply trying to get this thread shut down with ignorant vocabulary, it can be too much to handle. I Think that scoring idea is so stupid. It's a system that benefits just bad/carried players. If you want to play as a team there is this thing called communication and private lobbies.

I am not asking you to conform, I'm asking you to evolve, to take your idea and mold it into something greater. I'm not asking you to trash the idea completely and play a novaguard for the rest of the games days. No simply look back on some of the posts, not the ones completely disregarding your idea, but the ones that give a decent reason for their post. Take those and build your idea into a skyscraper, don't just keep it as a mud brick hut.

More so you are asking everyone to conform to your score system, it's pros and cons for scoring, without any regard for what they want.

One more thing, if you are going to insult me DO NOT veil it. Say it outright if you have the guts to do so.

you don't need to kill things super fast to survive, if you do I sudggest you get some more practice and perhaps put a couple points in fitness eh?
