so your logic is players have made the game unfun so you should keep playing it and have the least fun possible?

as anyone who knows me well, they know I'm perfectly capable of soloing gold with just about any character. that doesn't make it fun to play. teamwork makes the game fun. If soloing is your thing, go solo. But keep teamplay as an essentaila part of playing with a team.

Jeez.. you keep repeating this "fun" thing like its a damn mantra. Thing is, "fun" is totally subjective and will vary from person to person. Its kind of dumb trying to reform this so called "score ****" by imposing a score system that punishes perfectly sound tactics. What will happen to this "score ****" if ever this score system is implemented?
a) they will never use missile on a non-objective wave even if the team is being overrun or to save someone
B) they will never kite enemies from devices in the off chance they stray too far
c) they will never solo kill mooks even if they are already swarming the team
d) they will never clutch a wave even if they are the last one standing
Why? because like you said they only care about the score. Doesn't matter if it requires really stupid actions, as long as they top the scoreboards its all good.
I do agree with some of the positives (revives, shield boost, debuff etc.) but the negative ones seem to be not well-thought of. Just my two cents of course.

right because speed runs are hard? 30 minutes is forever? Up the dosage of ritalin dude.

Such a crass remark, you really sound like a spoiled brat when you start saying things like that.

So....

We're not allowed to be effective

We're not allowed to kill things efficiently

We're to let our team mates (however incompetent) slow us down by ensuring that they manage to kill stuff

...

I suppose you want us to do 2-3 laps of the map carrying the pizza before returning it to the LZ?

And you probably would prefer if we disable one device every minute, so the 4 devices objective takes as long as possible?

How's about we let the timer almost run out, before killing the target?

If you don't care about score, there's no issue, move on.

Getting all cry-baby mode on BSN because people outscore you (probably because they are better than you at the game?) shows how little YOU care about team work, and how much you care about YOUR score instead.

If PUGs are frustrating you, maybe try find some team mates who'll put up with your incompetence and ridiculously contorted ideas of what "fun" constitutes in this video game?

If you can't make it to the spawn in time, I'm sure as Wrex not guna stand around waiting for you to meander in 20 seconds late.

My idea of fun in this game, is remarkably similar to many of the friends I have. We play this game for laughs, for jokes, because we enjoy the gameplay.... and because we enjoy having fun. If our  definition of having fun is clearing Firebase London cerberus in 17 minutes, why should 3 of us, be forced to stop playing to our fullest potential, simply because you are incompetent?

If you are hurting for things to kill in a private match, then go play in PUGs?

Playing private games with coordinated players SHOULD encourage you to get better, learning the spawns and how to attack them efficiently.

Or you can always strive to be the big fish in public matches, considering the state of them these days.

From your N7HQ it's not like you're new to this game ... why is this an issue now 1300 hours later?

faster never equals better, simple as that

better is working as a TEAM

when you play with your first good team you'll understand.

Can I work as a team to achieve a faster result? can't I?

I like slow matches, don't get me wrong, but playing fast and being cooperative aren't exclusives. You can do both...

OP - 5 pages later you are still the only person saying that this is a good idea. We have given reason after reason why staying within 1 foot of each player is tactically insane, why solo kills would make many weapons obsolete, why dragging a game out to 40 minutes is boring, and why hoping someone else will properly explode your power is an exercise in frustration.

If you're not having fun, go play something else. If you're frustrated that everything is getting killed before you can get to it, go PUG or get better at finding spawns. If you want to play with your friends, crack some jokes and have fun with it - so what if you come in last??

I don't care about the sacore. i care about my flanks being uncovered. I care about teammates dying across the map. I care that there is nothong to do because somone has nuked the spawns on wave 1 with missles. Thats what I care about. the score is just a way of getting other players to play as they should.

"The score is just a way of getting other players to play as they should."

There is no correct way to play

These is if I care about having fun, which i do. If the game ceases to be fun, why should I play it?

You shouldn't

we'll I can't disagree there.

Ah yes, I vaguely remember that now...If I remember correctly, I was horrible that game.  Early in the morning +lag= bad Ty.

I was actually thinking of a more recent game with him where he was using it on a SI.  Me and Sirian spent the whole game running back and forth trying to find things to kill.

I think the most recent one I remember was when he used it on a human soldier. Sirian was a GI with an Argus and I was a Destroyer with a Striker and Arc Pistol. Wasn't too bad.

Back on topic, I have been carried on occasions, mostly by Jay, but I would rather see it as a learning opportunity. Also, source of inspiration and all that stuff. I didn't actually start really liking the Saber until I got carried with it.

Bolded for emphasis.

I agree with this.  I'll admit, a long time ago I didn't like the Hurricane without stabilization.  Then I got carried by the double clip mod Hurricane, and realized that I should learn to deal with recoil.

You can't force people to play as they should, it would kill the possibilities of the game. People have to learn that nuking wave one is a bad idea, that looking your teams back is good. If you try to force it, people will try the MP one time and forget about it. You have to believe on the players, not call them dumb with a system that punish them for playing differently.

Your idea of 'should' can go **** itself. My idea of 'fun' shouldn't be punished just because whiners like you like to play differently.

And why should mine be punished for yours, consider that the current score system encorages YOUr style of play and discurages mine, perhaps the midlle solution is to remoce the scoreboard entirely. I'd be ok with that.

I honestly can't imagine a playstyle that can't do points, unless you are trying to stand still in the exaclty same point, doesn't matter what. Then you have a serious problem, because this game was done in a way to encourage you too move, this was one of the big changes from ME2 to ME3. Even trying to defend an area, you have to move.

Another question, how do you stop people from trolling? I put on adrenaline 3 with a drell and I can spend all day running away. Now your entire team has lower xp because I have negatively affected the team.

Right because the game doesn't allow trolling as it is? ever play hazzard reactor? :pinched:

1 Map that is easily avoidable in both map rotation and situation.
A very substaintial difference, you can control if you get trolled by the reactor, by not going onto that map or not going into the reactor.

What I proposed, the only way you could avoid that is use a drell yourself with adrenaline 3 and follow me around.

That is just 1 of your examples.

I could just missle every non-objective wave. Run away during objective rounds etc.

I love Hazard Reactor. It's even better when you start Tea-Bagging the dead person and they Rage-quit. I think I'm infecting PC with my old XBox trolling ways.

Ok I see your point, but you could make it so just their own score would be neagative and the team score/xp would be balanced out to counter.

so player 3 has a score of negative 9000, but the other three players are given 3000 each to compensate.
