This is patently false.

All of the ME3 Multiplayer DLC was leaked, yes, but none of the SP DLC was.  Leviathan was not "leaked," but was discovered from hidden files in the Extended Cut and mentioned directly by one of the voice actors.  By the time announcements started rolling out, lots of outlets picked up on it.  I think it was actually Kotaku that broke the official news first.

So what? Are we having a conversation in your native language? If not, then why should its rules apply to English?

It's still. Mr. Priestly, Mr. Hudson and Mrs. Merizan for me.

So you don't know them but you do know about her marital status? That comes across as a bit creepy.

She got married 2 weeks ago. She's a 'friend' on Facebook, the pictures are great ! Used to call het Miss Merizan before. Anyway, probably a stupid arse reply when writing when I was seriously drunk.

My apologies.

Everytime Reddit "leak" something and Bioware says it's not true, in the end it's true...

Why so much secret with dlcs? just say "yeah the next dlc will be about blabla" so the interested fans can speculate and wait for it, and the others that disagree with the dlc or didnt care can go on and not waste months waiting for something that is "garbage" to many of us, just like past dlcs.

While not Reddit related, I think this example shows that some people (in this case press, but applies to everyone) hears what they want to hear without necessarily checking the source or facts.

So your point is that sometimes rumors are false?  I think everyone understands that... hopefully.
But sometimes rumors are true even though Chris Priestly is quoted as saying they're false.  I think that's the point people are more interested in at the moment.

'TL;DR - Until Microsoft/Sony announce something: don’t believe even the most reputable gaming sites.'

Shure why not. Because official corporate media will always remain No.1 for genuine unbiased information. Good read. Good laugh too.

I'd rather try my luck with reputable sites.

Mr. Priestly, I find it akward that you are very active in this thread. I'm not used to that coming from you. Just a thought.

And no, this does not prove IT, I don't believe in it anyway, as I don't believe the whole Reddit and Clevernoob stuff, but still it makes me frown my left eyebrow.

Proof is on ME wiki, with sources avalible. If your talking about the movie.
As for reddit, NO I'm not endorsing full trust. Just that after accurate predictions regarding Retaliation, their predictions for future ME3 DLC can be seen as having a higher chance of being right, and can't be pushed aside completely anymore. It's the best info we have right now, and so far, nothing from BioWare has contridicted it yet.
It's the most we've had for a while now.

Oh I don't question the movie stuff.  I just think that it's a big stretch to say that a movie, which is still in development stages (and frankly may never get out of them), would suddenly cause Bioware--a company that has gone out of its way to allow players to pick the gender of Shepard in all circumstances--to change their advertising strategy for ME3's very last SP DLC and suddenly be like "oh jk Shepard's a boy."

To base the idea that Chris may be lying solely on the fact that Movie Shepard is going to be a man is, in my opinion, reading wayyyy to deep into any of this.

Most people seem to associate Shepard being a male. Hell, all the figures of Shepard up to now have been male. Onle one single anime-styled stattuete has been of the female.
The majority of game traliers, up to ME3. have been of male Shepard. Even then, it's mostly male Shepard.
Hell, the male Shepard's been on the cover of all three games, while female Shepard's only had one,
Male Shepard is thus far, the iconoc Shepard face. So no, Reddit going of the "Shepard is male" assumption is not reading deep into it at ALL. In fact, it makes absolute sense, as EVERY DLC tralier has had male Shepard in it, and this one will likely not be any different (as shown in the image, with the MALE Shepard at that Citadel bar.).

All this was consistantly on Reddit, and your're wrong about Kotaku - they picked it up after Reddit.
So their word has a bit more weight to it regarding ME3 DLC.

I'm not going to get into an argument about who is more "up to speed."

Leviathan was first hinted at in this forum, when the Extended Cut released hidden files from the game.  This was picked up by various media outlets and websites, including Reddit.  Leviathan's official announcement was leaked by Kotaku 35 minutes before the news "broke," but everyone already knew at that time because of the hidden, in-game files.

Regardless, Leviathan was not "leaked" by the people on Reddit like the Multiplayer DLCs were.  Reddit picked up information either from this forum or from other sources for the Single Player DLCs.  The multiplayer ones were leaked by one Redditor who posted the information on Reddit when it had not been mentioned anywhere else before.

So yes, Reddit has great weight with regard to multiplayer DLCs, and since this one is multiplayer I'm inclined to believe it.  With SP, notsomuch.

The point, though, is not which gender "most people seem to associate Shepard" with.  The point is that Bioware, in their descriptions of the DLC, do not assign a gender to Shepard, so they won't do it now just because of the pending movie.

The multi-player leak is legit, the single-player one from several days ago is not.

Not saying I believe that the Reddit leak is real or not, but it's possible that whoever wrote the leak heard it from whoever the leaker is (possible with one or more people in between) and then paraphrased, adding the masculine pronouns in the process. I don't think you can dismiss the entire concept of the leak just because of the wording.

This topic deals with the "Reckoning" leak, not the other one.

The other one is most certainly not accurate, if for no other reason than for being too good to be true.

Now, whether or not this DLC will dispense with Single-Player and instead tie story elements into Co-op, whether this DLC actually is the very thing we speculated on, here on this forum since the Omega one, I do not know.

But, I have a feeling. I think that it is indeed, it's not overly farfetched at all to think that this would be the direction Bioware would take. Merge story into Multi-Player. Possibly this is what needed "all hands on deck".

Yes! Perfect example. There was a great segment on NPR about this as well. And didn't you guys tucka similarly themed story about this in Legion's ME2 dialog? You sly devils :P

And pronouns couldn't have been inserted by the paraphrasing leaker... why? Not saying that anything about the "leak" is valid, but a denial such as that is on shaky ground at best.

Yep, it is awesome isn't it. We deny it and we're likely liars trying to hide the truth. We don't deny it or don't say anything and we are refusing to acknowledge the truth or trying to ignore it. And if it is false, there is nothing we can do to say so and prove it.

As I keep saying, wait until the actual description comes out in, likely, Feb sometime and then you'll knwo the actual and can go back and see how true or false any of these posts on Reddit are.

In my opinion it is somewhat possible. Since i expect heavier multiplayer with story coop and rest of similar stuff from ME4, there could be a possibility they will use last SP DLC to ME3 to test some aspects of it.
Not very probable, but clearly possible.

Yet, this is possibly a MP DLC coming out alongside it. And they have yet to be wrong, so their word deserves the benifet of a doubt.

But they ALREADY have with the figures, promo images and trailers for the majority of the series. Shepard is generally assumed to be a male. So someone else assuming the male thing - thinking that's reading "too deap" into it isn't a good excuse. It's almost desperate.
