Ok I have decided to dust off my copy of the origins- ultimate Ed.. My question since its been awhile that I've played is story-wise should I play witch hunt and awakening before meeting with the arch demon?

No. Both are set after the main campaign.

Here's a rough guide:
1 Stone Prisoner
2 Warden's Keep
3 Return to Ostagar
4 Awakening
5 Darkspawn Chronicle
6 Leliana's Song
7 Witch Hunt

This.

1-3 you'll play during Origins.

4, Golems of Amgarrak (which was left off the list) and 7 should follow Origins, in that order.

5 and 6 are standalone and can be done whenever, though do contain Origin spoilers, so probably best to do them after the main game.

Well, I wouldn't recommend playing LS before Origins, but if what the OP wants is to play them all in chronological order, it should be the first.

Thanks for the replies and yes LS and WH and awakening I was somewhat confused on the timeline. It's been awhile. The last time I played it was when origins first came out.
