Yeah but the last thing the Scimitar needed was a weight buff. Seriously, weight was never the problem with this weapon, you could already use it on any character class and get (at least) 160% cooldown without the capacity evo ; now you'll get 170%. OK great.

For the record, I don't think the Scimitar needed any buff to begin with, it's a mini-Piranha in itself, so buffing the damage would have been a bit too much. Maybe a capacity/mag size buff would have been fine... but a weight buff ? I don't see the point. Oh well, if it makes other people happy then sure, why the hell not.

That Havoc buff.

Nicolas Cage approves.

Too bad I cant personally say the same for the Valkyrie buff, since I CAN'T FIND ONE.

Still won't use the Valkyrie. The damage feels weak, even in Silver, and the recoil makes the headshot multiplier pretty meh.

I'm not going to use +stability characters or mods just to make it usable (but still inferior).

Agreed. There are plenty good assault rifles that make the Valkyrie unnecessary. Sadly, that is. Given how much I like its design.

I'm disappointed to see yet another headshot multiplier buff rather than a damage buff. Basically says "screw you" to anyone who doesn't care to use builds designed around constant headshots.

Not that my opinion means anything. The base 2.5x damage multiplier for headshots and high enemy hitpoints in this game has already made it quite clear that Bioware considers non-headshots to be wasted shots.

Yeah, it's definitely unfortunate given the disparity in aiming from PC to consoles, and the fact that certain kits/playstyles lend themselves to shooting from the hip more than headshots.

Nothing that great, but nothing truly awful like the Phase Disruptor buff last time.

Valkyrie should still be lighter. Headshot multiplier increase disproportionately benefits PC players, who have an easier game experience to begin with.

Scimitar still sucks, and the only shotgun I would take it over is the Katana. Which is sort of fine, since it's an uncommon.

At this point any week without buffs to the game's weakest powers is a wasted one to me. Seriously, how can anyone look at Carnage and think it's fine where it is?

And are we ever going to get changes to Collector Captain DPS so that players using less durable characters off host on Gold/Plat actually have time to react to them? Rather than getting instantly killed on the host side before the client even registers firing animations?

Thank you. It's annoying to see the number of people who only see that it was "buffed" and don't pay attention to what the actual change was. A minor weight decrease was nothing.

However, I strongly disagree that it's a "mini-Piranha". It could only dream to one day do the damage of the Piranha. And the Piranha actually has spare ammo in comparison.

The whole common and uncommon argument should just be thrown out. If they're meant to be disposable weapons, that's fine. It's Bioware's game and they can balance it how they see fit. But if that's the case, why buff the stupid thing at all, and why such a minor change?

I really wouldn't be that upset about it, but the thing just LOOKS SO COOL, lol. And it was my favorite from ME2.

Now it's going to be "Paladin Hard: Wreck Harder".

Yeah... Still not sure what bw is thinking with this valk 'buff'. It's barely significant.

We feel pretty good about the damage of the Valkyrie. The real issue is that it's difficult to level up.

If that's the case, why not shorten the damage increase range slightly, increasing damage at base levels but decreasing the amount it increases as it levels? I've said many times that UR weapons should have a tighter range than the other weapons, and N7 weapons are a stage higher than those.

Also, at the argument involving Yate and the Scimitar shotgun: Give it a minor damage increase and raise the magazine capacity. If it had 10-12 shots and about 110% the damage it had now, it'd be pretty appealing as a caster shotgun while not dominating the area while competing with the other weapons in the range.

Yeah, hence the "mini" :P To me, it's more accurate to say "poor man's Piranha". Less damage, way less spare ammo. But lighter  (much lighter with the latest buff). I'd say the Scimitar is to the Piranha what the Eviscerator is to the Wraith.
Then again, once you have the Piranha X and Disciple X, I don't really see where the Scimitar fits. Want DPS ? Use the Piranha. Want a caster's shotgun ? Get the Disciple. That's the biggest issue with the Scimitar at the moment, in my opinion.

Yes, what's your point ? I really don't think the Scimitar needs a buff if that's what amazed you. It's like I've just said : once you have the rare shotguns, it doesn't serve any useful purpose. Even the Eviscerator is useful until you get the Wraith at an interesting level (I still use the Evi X on my melee Kroguard until I can get a Wraith VI or VII). Aside from that, buffing the Scimitar is kinda useless, really. It has no niche.

I dunno, it is one of the lightest shotguns, that's its niche.  I think if you're building a character with 2 guns (for different ranges) it could be useful.  I mean these patches are for all players, not just the ones with maxed-out URs.

Changing equipment or character appearance while in Game Lobby seems to increase the likelihood of disconnection when launching into a new game... and "waiting for other players" afterwards.<_<

Eric, can we still hope that one day Explosive Rounds won't be a detriment to one's gaming experience like they currently are? All they do is clogging one's inventory (having to scroll further to reach Incendiary, Phasic and Warp Rounds is a PITA), wasting one's credits and make one facepalm whenever he/she sees someone equip them in a lobby.

In a game today, I literally could not shoot my gun anytime an enemy shot at me.

I saw a dead banshee still standing in a room, and a banshee glow still lighting up on a second floor spawn point.

In earlier games, any time I got wounded, I saw the faded blood red haze over my screen way too long. This lasted longer than ever before.

By the way, do weapons still have a force attribute?  If so, is there some way to see what weapons have what kind of force as part of it's stats?  And if not, why not?
