I know some people don't use the Havoc much, myself included. But with the Havoc Strike buff I most definitely will be giving him more play time. Anyone else going to?
Turian Havoc got a significant buff, will you be using him now?

I played gold game with a guy who was using him and he did pretty well.

Used it anyway

It's not really that significant. His effective HP still got a big hit with the stimpack nerf, and increasing the power on Havoc Strike hasn't yet compensated for that in my opinion. If you want to use Havoc strike, his optimal setup is put max grenade capacity and a reegar/incendiary ammo on him. There is little deviation from that.

Thanks for the heads-up, had great fun with a melee build before.

Yup, though not sure what loadout would complement him.

I still consider it a kamikaze power, since you can't get any shields back, most of the time when I use havoc strike, it turns out to be a one-way trip.

I dunno... I always liked using Cryo Blast followed with a Havoc Strike anyhow. Now it will just do more damage. More damage is always good.

I have the HS fully specced and still need to complete 100 waves more with this guy. Thanks BW.

I use him as a melee character. Haven't tried it on gold though.

When I get home from work, I'll have to have a game or 2 with Turian havoc. Buffs look good.

I loved him before so this buff will only make me love him more.

Unlikely. I find him to be incredibly boring, buff or not.

I do pretty okay with him using a Raider and using Havoc Strike with him heavily. I usually don't get more then the ten Tech Kill medal w/Havoc Strike, but I like the I-Frames for it and I do agree Grenade Capacity is a just with him. Or at least one of the gears that increases it by two.

The buff really helps his dual-strike combo's. He doesn't need an active Martial Artist to one-shot certain enemies now.

I already used him before. Question is... can you get 1000N of force without taking the rank 4 Capacity/Power Damage evo? If you can... it's a pretty significant buff, as it allows him to retain the ability to stagger Phantoms w/ Havoc Strike.... and access the full Turian weapon passive.

Buff or no buff, you melee things anyway

Its significant in that now you can stagger Phantoms without needing to max out power damage in his passive.TheKillerAngel wrote...

I liked him before too, with 2 small notes -
1. NOT to be played vs. Geth,
2. Dual strike is quite inconsistent off-host.

My gold build for him is as a cryo debuffer.
3 levels in strike
5 in packs
max the rest for weapons.
You end up with a guy not in the top of the tree for damage but hey, claymore.
Cryoblast with 21 points is still a great debuff even if it's losing out hugely to warp, tacscan and prox/recon mines.
With three in strike coupled with his dodges he is really mobile and quite tanky.
Definitely viable against any class.
Sadly I don't think more force changes how I would build him, it's just a benefit.
They would need to ramp his weapon/melée damage in HS to make me seriously reconsider my build

Perhaps. Already have over 100 waves with him but most of that was strike less Cryo build.
My main beef is how long the animation takes.
