Can someone give me a synopsis of anything interesting in this thread past the first page? I don't really feel like reading through 12 pages of Gallows complaining about RCing. Thanks.

GP acts like a moron
L_S calls him out on it in trademark acerbic fashion
Everyone else joins in
GP finally backpedals far enough that his post makes some kind of sense, and also says "lol i trol u guise from da start, trolololoolo"

.basics thats exactly it there too <_<

You are aware that none of this is a big deal right?

Of course. But it kept me entertained long enough for my morning bathroom duties. Now I went back to making more meaningful posts. Image IPB

Now youre catching on.

Ok.

Animation cancelling developed because of PvP and one in which I would be ok with from a mechanic perspective. This way everyone is equal and the loser will fall to the quicker reloader. This is acceptable.

I have no idea when animation canceling came to be or for what reasons.

In PvE, like this game, it does nothing to reward anything except score or effectiveness if you want to call it that. This is just a motivator, IMO, of poor gameplay and e-peen crap which I don't particularly care for and why I don't play PvP games anymore. There really isn't any valid reason to have it in this type of gameplay. IMO of course.

Rather than trying to argue whether it is a poor gameplay design or not, I think animation canceling is worth having, utility-wise, even in PvE. I probably wouldn't use the Claymore or the Widow without it. I'd rather not watch the long animation every single time, and I'm just glad there is a way out of it.

Lots of people have their complaints that they bring up all the time. People who use reload cancel all the time get tired of gp posting his opinions on it. There are other people who always post about grenade users, geth flamer user, and of course infiltrators. I read a lot more than post and I just have tuned out most of these posts. I can pretty well predict who is going to post what based on the title of the thread.

We could do with less insults, IMO.

Don't even have to read the OP or the thread, but based on the title, I'm guessing GallowsPole is in here arguing about reload cancelling.

You can call that "disabeled-solidarity", but my opinion is near the one of GP, except maybe the insults and trolls. (Yes, he said other things too :P)

I think about RC : it should be removed (easy : include the thermoclips at the end of the animation) AND the animation time reduced. Why ? My opinion is : there is no need of a reloading time if it can be tricked. A great weapon have often great setbacks, and realoading time is one of those in the balance. (with weight, thermoclips capacity, etc).
OR, if you really want to keep the RC, all weapons should be standardized : the fast reload (like avenger, Harrier, and such) and the slow reload (Black widdow and such). Maybe a "very fast" if you want (for some smg) but that's all. No nuance. No more "Harrier is slower than avenger because Harrier is better". All the same, balance found elswere, and no more problem abour RC.

BUT, RC should never give advantage of great weapon against a bad. The great weapon is great, it doesn't need more than a bad weapon.

Sorry, that's not a joke but I am under drugs, does that count ? :D

EDIT : sory for my english. The problem is : I am not creationist, therefore I am not American. Short version : I am from a non-freedom country with no constitution and no english education.

You may have your own opinion, no one will fault you for that. But it doesn't change the fact that the Game Developers disagree with you. And considering that they are the ones making the product I'm using, I will stick to caring about their opinion, and not so much about yours.

We're cool though, we're cool.

No we are not ! You don't like disabeled persons, do you ? :P

Seriously, a lot of modifications of gameplay has been made because BSN asked for it or advanced serious arguments.

Plus, they often gave an "official" statement and then changed it so it could be more consistant with their new changes.

As I respect their opinion, official statements and all that, I can't but deplore the lack of logic behind the concept of RC AND balances, as those two opposes themselves for now.

And, as I said, my opinion is one think, but I thought about other possibilities, against my opinion but that I find adaptables to compensate the disbalance.

Some things BSN asks for end up biting them in the ass.

Respec cards, for example.
RC has been, and always will be, a part of the ME3 MP experience. The sooner you learn to deal with it (:police:), the more enjoyable you're experience will be.

Aight? we cool, we cool.

You guys save me time by opening threads about it. Besides, I don't cry. If cheating, excuse me, exploiting the defects of the game strokes your e-peen, that's cool.

I look at you guys like the baseball steroid users who didn't make it into the Hall of Fame with big asterisks next to their stats. They bent the rules too. :bandit: I should be allowed to post my opposing opinion along with these threads. It's America. As long as The Constitution isn't burned, it's my right.

Your opinion doesn't hold water when the devs explicted stated it's a game mechanic. So you can have your opinion, but you're just wrong.

One has to ask why is it a game mechanic, probably becasue the problem would be too tough to fix.  If they do not want relaods then speed up the animations or remove them.  I think the old it's a game mechanic is a cop out statement.

There was a thread, some day.

The question of "is it a game mechanic despite the fact that BW state it is" was the subject, or this subject came fast.

The conclusion was : "maybe, maybe not, or something else."

That's one of the many reasons i like the Claymore.

You can hide the reload wih pretty much every single power in the game.

And that's why the Wraith is massively overrated.

If you want to compare the Wraith and the Claymore, that's only partially true.

On classes who have ways to use powers that aren't dependent on cooldowns like grenadiers and novaguard/slayer the Claymore may indeed be more advantageous because you can use a power at almost any time.

On any other class the Wraith fits better for this trick IMO, because no matter what you'll have to wait for your cooldown, which often happens to fit pretty well for 2 wraith shots. With the Claymore you'd have to wait after shooting to get your cooldowns back (cooldowns that would be even higher due to the weight) and such would lose DPS.
