How to overlap reload animations with powers, i.e., skipping reloads all together.

I am ok with reload canceling...the animation just should end a split second after the magazine/bullet is in (problem is with animation not canceling it, intended or not the rest of animation should not be there, so RCing it is ok).

Power canceling is ok (the same as above), but skipping whole reloading process with power should not be possible (however I do it mostly unintentionally - e.g. that flamer).

But pizza? How is droping the bag 50 times on ground and picking it up while running ok?
This is obviously unintended/bug/whatever. Also that bag should be much bigger to justify inability to run with it. Player should be unable to run, but the walking speed should a lot faster than it is.

In the end, these are not big issues...but would be good to fix skipping reloads and pizza run.

Realistically, the N7 troops are a bunch of panzies if they can't run with that backpack of equipment. Modern soldiers carry upwards of a hundred pounds of equipment and bodyarmor, and that's not form fitted with powered servoes augmenting your strength. I really doubt a tiny laptop of flight records weighs much more than ten pounds, let alone the three hundred that could justify slowing a human to a crawl (AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON KROGAN).

But there's this thing called separation of gameplay and story.

Not sure what is new here, or really at all different, than Reload Cancelling?

Yes OP, I read the OP and some of the thread. If you wanted a pile of crap, congratulations.

It is different.

Simply reload *cancelling* means firing your weapon then cutting off half the animation with medigel or whatever. Power cancelling works best by also reload cancelling, what happens is you can, with proper timing, be reloading and using a power at the same time.

Try it with a Drell Adept for example. Shoot twice with a Wraith, then as soon as you finish the 2nd bullet, use reave. You'll reave, but your ammo counter will also replenish, you can then reload cancel and fire again straight away.

It's basically just cutting the time spent doing nothing (which is what you have to do while reloading) down to an absolute minimum.

^^^ And this is new?

I get it. Been there. Nothing revolutionary. And... Well, this is just not anything new.

Well it's not new to you (or me) but I'm sure it's new to some people.

Noticed this quite a while ago when doing far charges with my Vanguard. It's fun to do but rather situational.

It's new to me, although I was doing it quite a lot, but unintentionally.

Depends a lot on the build.

On a Claymore GI for example I do it a lot. Cloak --> shoot --> prox mine. Means more time spent using powers/shooting and less time doing long reload animations.

You guys save me time by opening threads about it. Besides, I don't cry. If cheating, excuse me, exploiting the defects of the game strokes your e-peen, that's cool.

I look at you guys like the baseball steroid users who didn't make it into the Hall of Fame with big asterisks next to their stats. They bent the rules too. :bandit: I should be allowed to post my opposing opinion along with these threads. It's America. As long as The Constitution isn't burned, it's my right.

The dropping and picking up is BS...that they should be able to run with that small backpack is another thing.
The backpack should be 20x bigger (example)...but you get the point?

Intended gameplay was walking with pizza (logic aside), the current form of running is not really "clever use of...",
its bug/exploit, just not that gamebreaking that they would start banning for it.

Whenever 'Muricans mention their precious Constituion with regard to freedom of speech, while posting on a forum owned by non-Americans, I have to laugh.

Speaking as an American...

Shut up and sleep it off. Let your self-mutilation go for a moment of calm. Or drink a whole lot more, then you might actually make some sense, and at least would have a minute chance of being funny.

Well, not the whole GallowsPole. Just the first tier of his backbone, I think.

And if GPole is 'Murican, then why is he a Pole?

So confused right now.

By the way, just as a FYI, do a Whois on Bioware and tell me where the site is hosted again?

Last time I checked Biower were Canadian.

And on a forum owned by someone else, your freedom of speech doesn't mean jack. Stop pretending that it does.

Dude, nobody wants to infringe your right to freedom of speech - which is neither an american invention nor a feature exclusive to the USA.
