That's an interesting theory you have there. And it might hold some sway if, oh I dunno... it didn't exist in some form or other in nearly every modern FPS, and if Bioware couldn't fix it with a simple balance change update.

Mine, Every post you reply in, if you aren't calling someone an idiot, you basically say Im right, youre wrong. At least I afford people to debate me. All you do is keep pushing paper statistics and claiming victory.

Again with the jargon terms. Do you really, REALLY not know how P2P networks work?

Is this really your latest attempt to make your ill-informed opinion look better? First it was just straight denial and claims that if people were leeching your bandwidth, you could lag while hosting. Then it was "oh well there is latency between pieces of hardware, so it's possible". Then when people pointed out that humans can't notice latency that is measured in microseconds, you sought around for another reason and came up with lag switches. An equally invalid reason for all the same reasons that people leeching your bandwidth was a moronic reason.

Give it up dude, there's a time to just admit you were wrong.

Jargon terms? Ive been doing IT for almost 15 years. You've been switching psu's or editing ini files for what...3 or 4? Reading IT forums don't make ya an expert. Get yourself some experience and then we'll talk.

Nah man, if you purposely lag your connection, it makes the hardware lag even worse, which means no phantom DR for you!

This was sarcasm btw.

LOL OMG. Its like talking to the indoctrinated. I never said it couldn't be fixed. Its not even from FPS shooters. Its from fighting games, specifically Street Fighter II. Animation cancelling. That's what it really is. Its been around forever. For a gamer, you sure don't know jack about gaming. You can spit out stats like there is no tomorrow, but you don't even know where the thing you're arguing even comes from.

First, exactly what numerical data have I "spat out"?

Second, it's cute the way you take what the devs and others have said about Street Fighter 2, act like you know anything about it, then twist what they said to make it out to be a bug. Again, you're just throwing in terms you think make sense and hoping that you're right about them.

And I'll humour you. Say that animation cancelling was a bug in its original form and was completely unintended by the developers of that game. How does that apply to this game or any other? Being able to run at super speed in some games is an unintended bug. Guess anyone who plays Sonic games is a bug abusing cheater then eh?

QFT. He uses the avalanche tactic, trying to overwhelm his opponents with so much BS and uninformed stupidity while hoping he gets something right just by fluke.

Sorry GP, your clever tactic won't work on me. I used to argue with Religious people a lot. They used the same tactic. I'm immune. ;)

Yes... a lag switch will magically make you experience latency in the connection between your computer and your computer.

You're still arguing though.

I feel bad for the OP since some people really don't know this can be done consistently.

^ copy that a few times over for my response.

Ok fully serious question now... do you honestly think that DDoSing the host of an ME3 game would make the host experience lag spikes, teleporting enemies, etc. in game?

There's no such thing as true multitasking. Only rapid switches from one task to another.

Im not a numbers guy, so I cant do it, but when you say an AJ is the least effective member of a biotic team, you aren't relying on opinion, you rely on the paper stats available to you. On paper, yes, probably true. I don't know. Again, Ill admit I don't even look at numbers.

Dude. I was AROUND when Street Fighter II came out AND gaming. It was a bug. The gaming community loved it because you had to work the controls right to pull off ridiculous combos. THATS reward. So inevitably, what gamers like, devs put in. And kept doing it. Its a cheap way to make gamers happy today. Im ok with that. Still cheating in my book, but still, rewarding. In this game, its been reduced to a joke. Its just a matter of hitting a button. There obviously was even discussion to include it and eventually, it got in. Im sure the intent was to reward the player, not turn certain weapons into death dealers though or give players the ability to do beyond what the original intent of implementing it into game play. Now no matter what, if someone brings it up, any dev can say, well because we put it in, its legit. It could be an unfixable error for all we know. We rely on what they tell us.

If you aren't a cheater, nothing I say will cause you to smack me.

So if I reload cancel - which is perfectly fine according to people who actually decide what is cheating and what isn't, i.e. BW employees - I shouldn't be irritated by your stance on that topic?

I shouldn't bother with you calling me a cheater or for saying I abuse an exploit or - in the latest version - with your signature stating I'm using cheap methods?

Funny, because to me it seems you've just picked a very exclusive opinion which happens to contradict what BW thinks and then mock anybody based on that opinion.

But I'm probably a cheater for 'defending' a legitimate game mechanic.

You didn't even manage to distinguish between a game mechanic (RCing), a perfectly viable albeit a little too powerful selection of kit and loadout (Krogan and Reegar) and a bug that can't be prevented in a match (Warp+Incendiary ammo).

Do you really not understand why legit gamers might take offense in that?

In other words: If I start to call everybody who has a buzz cut a ****, then these people surely won't jump at me because they're ****s but rather because I'm acting like a complete imbecile. Edit: Funny how the short version of the name Ignaz - which was very common in Austria during the first half of the 20th century - gets censored in here.

I don't get why you repeat how animation cancelling came into existance, because it doesn't matter. On a debate whether it's ok to be gay, would you repeatedly state that it used to be forbidden by law, if you didn't want to suggest anything? Note that I'm not accusing you to be a homophe - as I simply don't have the slightest reason to think so - it's just an IRL example of something that is perfectly OK today while it wasn't a while back.

Things and how people react to it change. You however seem to be caught in the past, repeating the same entirely irrelevant statement over and over and over and over.

Bottom line: Nobody cares about what you think about reload cancelling as the only thing that matters is whether BW will penalize people for doing it or not. They won't.

It's fine, clever use of game mechanics.

it is NOT clever use of game mechanics. it is a desgined feature that the developers specifically put in the game, to reward users who have the reflexes. A few days ago there was a link to an ME forum entry that was 2 years old, where the dev who put it in the game talked about this aspect.

Comparing it to missle glitching is simply inane, and idiotic. It is like saying using heavy melee for damage reduciton is cheating...

Comparing it to running with the pizza isn't even fair.

okay, 'used to be' clever use of game mechanics.

No...... we rely on what dataminers can tell us by studying game files. And it's clear from studying those game files that if this were a bug they could fix it in a weekly balance change.

Seriously, you really should think before you post.
