Hiya,

Two quick requests that are hopefully also simple:

- A 'do not display helmet' option. I liked it in Mass Effect and I'd like it even more here since my mage looks like he's ... well, it's not PG, let's just say that.

- A 'no combat feedback' option like BG had to turn off the in-combat exclamations little 'grraawr bad guy!' things that the PC and allies say. It's particularly bad with the PC since he doesn't talk the rest of the time - what, I only talk to monsters? These have always been immersion-breakers and while I'm sure some people like them, that optoin to remove them was great in BG and it'd be great here.

What I liked in BG1 was the ability to create your own combat shouts for the PC by updating the [something] folder files. I played as Joxer, Xena and Ash. I haven't explored the game files yet to see if it's possible, but that would be great!

Which I guess is the opposite of what you requested ;-)

I rather like them, one dwarf I was playing with in the noble story said randomly "STONE COLD STUNNER" when he shield bashed.

Hey, some of the helmets are cool. Some of the mage hats are cool. Some of them are terrible. I'm not saying TAKE AWAY THE HATS just ... give me the same toggle you gave me in Mass Effect. :)

I agree I was hoping for a option to not display the helmet.

Totaly agree. It's a bit disconcerting to see Morrigan in her super sexy sorceress gear, topped off by the ultra dorky hat. It sort of spoils the effect.

Yes, please add the don't display helmet option. The leather caps are particularly horrible.

Believe there is a mod which takes them off when not in combat. Not tried it though

I've been using No Helmet Hack; it's a little touchy at times, but has been working just fine for me. The only issue is you have to make sure to turn the helmet back on when you're doing a quest that requires a helmet (Dwarven Commoner intro, etc.). Still, I would like to see an official patch add something like a little checkbox on the character's inventory pane, to turn helmet on or off - much easier, and less "tricking" of the game system.

It removes the helmet when not in combat, which is good enough for me.

Not good enough for me either, there';s another working hack that works continuously but breaks the sets that require helmets. Better but still not good enough.

This game should have a proper "hide helmets" option... the purists can happily ignore it and the rest of us who like to see the faces of the characters we spent time crafting can carry on as we wish.

Seriously...  I played through the entire campaign with no helmets and that's just wrong.

Bioware has made SO many games with people wearing helmets. How do you eff this up?

Surprised this hasn't been patched in yet. I can't stand looking at the goofy helmets. Gamebreaker for me they look so bad.

I'd love, love, love (hint for Awakening, dear BioWare!) to have a helmet toggle, just like Mass Effect has one.

The helmets are cool, the mage hats are crappers though. Is that what you are all upset about?

They disappear when characters are talking. I found one which i thought looked cool for morrigan, i think it was an enchanters cowl or something, didnt look as stupid as the others.

Helmets & caps are fine - they fit into the context, I want context and contextual stuff, so for me - I'll be keeping them.
