What dept would that dev come from and what would your question be?
Would it be an art question and ask about the elves and darkspawn for example?
Would it be a mechanics question?
My one question would be to any and all devs and i would ask
"Has anyone on the dev team played Path of Exile and did they like it?"
If you could ask a DA:I dev one single question...

I would ask one of the higher ranking devs (Darrah or Laidlaw, I suppose) how a player is expected to approach decision-making for the PC within the game. What sorts of information is the player expected to have at his disposal when choosing what his PC will say or do at any point during the game?
Some months ago, I actually started a thread to ask this very question.

The department doesn't matter for my question.
I'd ask them, "How does it feel to live in the same city as Edmontonian of 2012, Mark Meer?"

How do you feel when people complain about a quest you designed by saying it could've been better?

I would ask the lead artist to divulge his whole life story, culminating on how the position was achieved. Not for myself, since I'm a terrible artist, but for my baby mama/GF, who is pursuing a bachelor's in Game Art Design at the Art Institute.

To anyone from the original Dragon Age team:
When did you realise Dragon Age: Origins was a big success, and how has it affected the development process of future games (i.e. Awakening and II) within your department?

Why when DA:O was such a big critical and financial success did you decide to flush all that down the toilet and make Dragon Effect 2: Mediocre Hacky Slash Crap?

I'd ask for tips on writing description and dialogue for short stories/novels. Really, there's nothing regarding DA that I want to really ask.

Though like TEWR I'm really interested on tips when it comes to writing/short stories, and also how they go about creating their characters, it's one thing I always stumble with when writing.

This so very much.
I would love to know if New Game + bonuses will ever exist in a DA game.
Extremely relevent as I always play DA games many, many, many times.

From both a writing and art perspective, how is character consistency being handled?
#22
Posté 30 janvier 2013 - 08:30
I'd ask the writing department if the combat strength (seemingly equal to humans) of the darkspawn and demons in general is a necessary story/gameplay segregation or if I overestimate their in-world capabilities.

I'd ask if they are bringing back the equipment customizations of the first game and possibly considering going back to the designs of the races for the first game excluding maybe the qunari

I can answer half of that question for you. They've said that the elves will be redesigned so as to be distinctive rather than just "humans with pointy ears" as they were in DA:O (and what the Hell was wrong with that look I ask you?), but different from what we got in DA2. I can speculate that any Qunari that show up will probably retain their DA2 redesign. I'm under the impression, but time will tell, that BioWare is happy with the new look they came up with for the Dwarves, which frankly wasn't that much of a stretch from the look they had in the first game. This humble gamer hopes that we see some female Dwarves in this game.
