What does Orleisian wine taste like?
Cheese.
Also do the countries ie Fereldan and Orlais have national flags?
Nuh uh. Despair. Oh wait, that was the cheese.
Wasn't that the ham?

Also, will we see another First Enchanter Remille kind of character who is human but can wield such magic and is knowledgable enough about the taint/blight that he/she can manipulate it some way?
If spirits took on traits that they observed from human/elf/whatever dreams and thoughts, and if they can not really be killed but only dissipate for a time, do they change over time and shift from spirit to demon and demon to spirit (this is assuming there is Time in the Fade, as it seems there is, and considering that what spirits represent really depends on what they are exposed to by people)? Or if spirits can be destroyed, how do they stay around and continue their existence, are they capable of producing more spirits? Are spirits able to possess/consume other spirits/souls or are human souls able to become demons/spirits (because that Baroness thing was a bit confusing)?
What monster (in literature, or game, or movies) is your favorite or do you find most interesting? As a bonus, why do you think you consider that monster? Certain concepts it represents or the complexity of it or entertainment value of it?
... other departments besides the lore/writing department talk about this stuff, right?

It was the ham, but wasn't the ham from the Anderfels, not Orlais?

Reason I ask, is that I have mates that make games who are the archetypal gym jock types and have no clue what THACO is etc - maybe that's cos we are in New Zealand though.
Bonus question: if you could do ANY other job in ANY other field, what'd it be?

Heart of DarknessWhat's your favourite book?
I'm sure some do. I have never done it. I enjoyed the Mass Effect games and preferred to avoid spoilers so I can play it "for realz" when it is done.During development, do the ME fans of your crew sometimes peek into the
story of the unfinished games when they're too eager about it and vice
versa?
Are the majority of people that work in Bioware into other geek culture?
Or is it a super stereotype that rpg-makers play pnp rpgs and such?
Wide variety of people. I have virtually no history with PnP games, but did play a lot of CRPGs. We have some people that work here that came from working for Intuit and aren't really avid gamers at all. Depends on the challenges of the job. You don't have to be a passionate gamer to be passionate about some programming field and whatnot. Although in general I'd say most are pretty avid gamers.
"Can we get confirmation on NPCs reacting to PC's specialization?"
Pretty please?
No. (You will not get confirmation) I strongly considered leaving out that parenthetical remark... >.>

If we are tied to a set single protaganist in future DA games will there be other installments coming out where the set protaganist won't be human?

What is the general process for selecting voice actors for the characters?
For major characters, I might suggest some actors. Caroline, our Voice Director, will look to see if they're available and how much they cost. If they're a star, there's generally no audition and we'd simply cast them. Otherwise, we'd do up an audition script and send it to the actor to test out.
If we have no suggestions avilable, then the audition goes to voice agents with some direction as to the type of voice we're looking for. We'll get a bunch of auditions back and Caroline would sift through those to find the best one.
Either way, it's a matter of Caroline sitting down with myself and the Lead Designer to listen to the auditions and see if we find one we like. If not, we either try again or alter our asked-for voice description. For a PC voice or really critical character, you'll get more people wanting oversight on it (like the Project Director or what have you).
Sometimes, once a voice is in-game and we see it being used by an in-game model, we don't like it and start the process over.
That's it in a nutshell.

Does gender factor into the equation? Age, merit? How about bastards? Would say a male bastard be preferred over a legitimate female heir? How is any inheritance divided etc.

You should have. Would've been more entertaining.
Now, while I understand that making a great game is about having a good combination of features, if one thing(characters, plot, gameplay, etc.) had to be emphasized, what do you think it should be? What could make a bad game decent or a good game great?
