I'd say the chances of "DA3" being the response are pretty high, all things considered.

I asked a question on page one. Can I ask another?

Do you see the Edmonton Oilers winning the Stanley Cup again?

Thanks for answering.

I saw them in game 7 against the Carolina Hurricanes here in Raleigh NC. I wore an Oiler hockey shirt and my father had on a Carolina shirt.

Pfftt. Just avoid the immature sexist "yay lesbians" teenage fanboy service and any game will be better than TW2

Every single game studio should just pack it in right now, since The Witcher 2 is obviously the only game the world needs or will ever need. It's official, folks. Everybody grab a refridgerator box and start staking out your claim under the nearest bridge!

Really, if they can't satisfy the personal taste of VikingDream, then what is even the point of living?

Here's my question.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I have a question.

Being that Dragon Age Origins is an awesome RPG itself, I'm wondering what other RPGs that the devs enjoyed playing? I've always adored the Suikoden series by Konami and I hope the DA world gets it's share of nations explored in similar ways...

From what I've heard, 4 years experience in programming at least.

I would wager this would not be a requirement anymore, if it once was.

Programmers for games today more make tools so that creative people from all walks of life (not just programming) can create content.  If there's an excellent writer that cannot program, best to make it as easy for them to write for your game as possible.

Gracious I hope the latter is wrong. I don't know a fig about programming and likely cannot learn but I know I can write. I would just love to know where and how to start. Thanks!

My favourite ones in recent memory are Fallout: New Vegas and Alpha Protocol.  I also enjoyed The Witcher 2.  Never played Suikoden, however.  (I am primarily a PC gamer)

Mary Kirby wrote up a good response in this thread.  Needing to be a programmer is definitely not a requirement.

A woodchuck could chuck no amount of wood, since a woodchuck can't chuck wood.

BUT:

IF a woodchuck COULD chuck wood, how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

To any dev (hopefully a gamer :P), outside RPGs, what other type of games do you play?

I'm pretty open in the types of games that I play.  Some of my favourite games all time are games like Deus Ex and System Shock 2, which are great mash ups of FPS and RPG gameplays.

I'm a big strategy gamer, and can sink countless hours into games like Civilization.  I am currently enthralled (again) with War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition which has a grognard level of detail that I just soak up and enjoy (just took Lunga air base in June 1942 after a week of fierce fighting!!  About to lose Java Island though! :( ).  It's funny because I would consider RPGs my genre of choice, but I have easily spent more time in strategy games than any other genre.

Do you have a favorite civ? I always play Byzantium because the chance to have printing press and itinerant preachers is just too good to resist; you get a maintenance free global religion that gives mad currency and I get to spread the gospel of our glorious feline savior Flash Gordon.

Not really. In most of my Civ games now, I just pick a Random Civ and deal with what the game gives me.

In the past, however, I was partial to the Romans (Civ 1) and later the Germans.
