Writing Department: How does magical healing/medicine work in Thedas?
And to this question would come the following sub-questions:
a) does it simply speed up the body's natural healing processes, or is the mage actually controlling/creating new cells out of mana?

Can mages see injury with some sort of mage-sight, or are they operating on visual cues only?
c) Could they cure cancer, or would they have to operate on tumors and then magically heal the wounds left behind?
d) What about infectious diseases? Can mages somehow rid the body of viruses/bacteria, or do they simply strengthen the body's immune system with mana, speeding up the natural recovery process? How would/did they handle Kirkwall's cholera outbreaks?
e) Enchanter Sweeney in DA:O says normal magic can't heal his eyesight- is that because it's a degenerative sort of damage (i.e. aging) and not something that the body's immune system could ever repair? And if magic can't heal bad eyesight, then why doesn't anyone wear eyeglasses? Have they not been invented?
f) Blood magic and Creation are mutually exclusive- blood mages can't be healed while blood magic is active. Does that mean that blood magic is incapable of healing (i.e. a Tevinter version of Sweeney healing his eyesight with demonic deals and/or blood magic isn't possible?)
g) The RPG books say that healing potions are infused with healing magic. Do they act like a sort of non-sentient healer, again speeding up the body's immune system and natural healing, and do you have to drink them, or could you apply them topically the way Regalyan does with his herbs with Cassandra in DotS?
h) What kind of training do healing-specific mages (Creation and Spirit) have in the Circles? Is is mostly just magic and maybe basic first aid, or are they taught herbalism, physiology, surgical techniques (suturing, etc), potion-making, dentistry, bonesetting, midwifery, and so forth?
i) If a person's finger got cut off, could a mage reattach it if it was done quickly enough (i.e. the tissue hadn't died?)
