Sid Meier's Pirates! Would top my desert Island list.

Which one?

I think I might like to have both, but forced to choose I'd take the original.

Ha! It shouldn't surprise anyone that. Cutlass Jack liked the Pirates! games.

That being said, I really didn't like how Pirates pretty much only allowed you to engage in combat all the time. One could not become a Caribean trader (well, at least not to the point where you made any real money compared to stealing ships). A game series like Uncharted Waters is a true masterpiece when it comes to being able to pursue any route you wanted - explorer, trader, pirate, a mix of the three... it's freedom was half the fun.

Another question, will there be more, new (or not) awesome, badass female characters? I kinda want to have another Genevieve or Evangeline or a non-crazy Meredith or someone like Anora. Yanno, strong, competent, possibly sword wielding lady folks who are not companions. I really, really enjoy DA ladies. I want more.

Nope. We don't like strong female characters, none of us. Total sausage-fest ahoy. :)

I think I just choked on my drink laughing my ass off.

So did I, and now there's water all over my desk...
WORTH IT. B)

I would ask the writing department- The loss of the Elven immortality was described as being caused by proximity to humans, but was this actually the case? I'm sorry if this sounds stupid but it seems odd that merely proximity would cause that large of a change on an entire race. Oh also is it possible for the Dalish to ever recover all of their lost history (sorry if either of these are unanswerable at this time)?

Our buns come in packs of either 8 or 12, and our hotdogs come in packs of 6, 8 or 12.

There are many possible permutations and combinations with which to achieve optimal hotdog:bun ratio with little wasteage.

My only question is:
will I have to play multiplayer to get the best ending for Single Player game like it was in ME3?

Thats a truly difficult question since I have a version of that game for every computer system I've ever owned since my Commodore-64. And even have it on my PSP.

Any would be fine, but I'd probably lean more towards the remake purely because the Dance 'Duels' amused me.

@Fast Jimmy: The only Uncharted Waters I tried was an online game, which didnt excite me as much as I thought it would. Was there a single player version?

To the writers: How do you go about coming up with the roster of recruitable companions? Does it start with a checklist like "We need X-amount of rogues, X-amount of "comedic" companions, etc"?

The Uncharted Waters Online game is pretty far off from the single player game.

The original game came out on PC and the NES, and its sequel came out on the SNES and PC. I would highly suggest playing the sequel, Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. In fact, I fired it up again a week or so again out of the blue.

It really holds up. The graphics wont' blow you away, but they hold up surprisingly well for a game that's over two decades old. The story won't knock you out either, but there are five different story lines for each of the different characters, which is pretty cool. And the game's attention to detail and abilitiy to do pretty much anything you can think of is pretty unparalled.

Honestly, I'd recommend anyone who likes strategy games to give it a shot. You can get the PC version for dirt cheap, and you can get the SNES emulator version for free online. I promise you... for all the people on this thread who are saying they like Civ games, Pirates! or even the Victoria games, this game will likely be something you can sink your teeth into for a good chunk of time.

I have been wondering this myself.  I really, really, enjoy the ME3 MP, and I think that a Dragon Age MP in the same exact vein would be really terrific.  I'm not sure about its relationship to the narrative, as I thought that the system they established in Dragon Age: Origins was just perfect, but it is a talking point, especially considering the direction that the BioWare games are taking.

A question for the developers...

Since talk about DA:I is still under restriction, I guess one of my questions would be:

What do you think is the most overlooked positive feature of Dragon Age 2?

Definitely the Friendship/Rivalry stat bonuses or the Cross class Combos.

Ooops, forgot to switch back to my Mike Laidlaw account...

Writing Department: How does magical healing/medicine work in Thedas?

And to this question would come the following sub-questions:

a) does it simply speed up the body's natural healing processes, or is the mage actually controlling/creating new cells out of mana?

B) Can mages see injury with some sort of mage-sight, or are they operating on visual cues only?

c) Could they cure cancer, or would they have to operate on tumors and then magically heal the wounds left behind?

d) What about infectious diseases? Can mages somehow rid the body of viruses/bacteria, or do they simply strengthen the body's immune system with mana, speeding up the natural recovery process? How would/did they handle Kirkwall's cholera outbreaks?

e) Enchanter Sweeney in DA:O says normal magic can't heal his eyesight- is that because it's a degenerative sort of damage (i.e. aging) and not something that the body's immune system could ever repair? And if magic can't heal bad eyesight, then why doesn't anyone wear eyeglasses? Have they not been invented?

f) Blood magic and Creation are mutually exclusive- blood mages can't be healed while blood magic is active. Does that mean that blood magic is incapable of healing (i.e. a Tevinter version of Sweeney healing his eyesight with demonic deals and/or blood magic isn't possible?)

g) The RPG books say that healing potions are infused with healing magic. Do they act like a sort of non-sentient healer, again speeding up the body's immune system and natural healing, and do you have to drink them, or could you apply them topically the way Regalyan does with his herbs with Cassandra in DotS?

h) What kind of training do healing-specific mages (Creation and Spirit) have in the Circles? Is is mostly just magic and maybe basic first aid, or are they taught herbalism, physiology, surgical techniques (suturing, etc), potion-making, dentistry, bonesetting, midwifery, and so forth?

i) If a person's finger got cut off, could a mage reattach it if it was done quickly enough (i.e. the tissue hadn't died?)

Oh yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Sir Otto against the Spanish, help the young lord from Portugal discover the secret of Atlantis, or the Cartographer in his quest to map every corner of the world. All the while having to deal with pirates and occasionally running into characters from other story arcs.

Ooooh- good question!  SO here's mine to any dev who wants to take a few seconds-long break from hard work and  reality (Cause we're all aware that these forums resemble reality about as much as a koala resembles a grizzly, right?): Do the devs have favorites, as in favorite DA 'verse characters?  If so, will you tell us?

Even though they're not the writers, I would think that would be a somewhat biased answer.

I don't have a question for only one department but anyone involved with creating the game.
I'd like to know how much time they're spending on developing etc. each day? I was always wondering what a work day looks like for those people :)
