I'm kind of bummed that everyone save One of Many turns on you for eating Akachi. I mean where's my token evil humanoid teammate? D: (and no I'm not asking for someone to go OOC to side with my PC) ...oh wait I forgot he got sucked into the wall XD.

jk jk

But yeah I have to say I much preferred this ending over the others especially that whole "s/he's still out there somewhere..." bit. My CE PC was a vengeful wrecking ball from start to finish.

Though the selling babies bit was a bit...much :P

You get to meet OOM again (alone) in Storm of Zehir, although only it seems if the main PC is neutral or evil in alignment. So even *he* abandons you eventually.

It's funny how near-demigods with the ability to rip peoples' (and apparently gods') souls out seem to have so few friends...

SoZ took place concurrently with MotB, however. OoM's appearance there suggests KC released it, then booted it from the party before dealing with the spirit eater issue. At least those were mental gymnastics I had to leap through to explain how it appeared in SoZ. XD

I always assumed that SoZ was set after MotB, judging my One of Many's conversation:

:: We sought new feeding grounds. Rashemen grew too wary of us. No longer able to hunt in shadows, no longer under the Master's protection. ::

:: Hau, hau, hau! A morsel wishes to know the Master, but the less it knows, the better for it. The Master is the only being on Faerun more terrible than us! ::
