You stay away from them!!
Wrong, you wait for them to be incapable of sync-killing(Brute's eyes stop glowing, Banshee uses Warp, ALTAS fires Rocket, Scion fires cannon etc.) It's not difficult to avoid sync-kill whilst getting into close quarters, you just need to know priming events and what de-primes them.
that phantom DR is not a difficult me mechanic to overcome, when she does her bubble, she doesn't do anything else. Instead of constant fire, hold up bro and stare at her a second before you throw that grenade, after a moment she drops shields but won't move until she does. See that trooper behind her? Plug his dumb head with a few bullets til that phantoms shield drops and you can continue to ravage her.
Problem with that is... it isn't a mechanic... Phantom on host with her bubble up will take about 4 bars of "damage" (the purple shade just becomes slightly lighter...) from a Claymore Headshot. Off-host a Phantom with her Bubble up will die in one shot from a Claymore Headshot.
Finally stun-lock. For all of you that complain of stunlock, you better be soloing. The only mercy I have here is for Soloers who have to move. For the rest of us in a squad, get your fat head behind cover (and I don't mean soft cover). You remember that wall you hopped over to stand in front of that prime? You should of stayed behind it.
Interesting thnig is that it isn't the Prime or the Scion who kills me. I did a solo Gold Collectors and the ONLY times I died were when a bloody Abomination respawned RIGHT ON TOP OF ME (yay for screwed up spawn system!) and instantly grabbed me. Fun fact - The Geth Turret kills more people than the Prime does and the Geth Combat Drone has a better stagger. Yup... Besides the issue isn't with balance, or difficulty, hell Geth are relatively ****** easy to fight against (even without hiding behind a counter) they are just so damn annoying to fight against, I have never enjoyed a single Geth game except once when me and a couple of friends did a Kroguard Melee Game after he was made super-stagger resistant.
The problem with stunlock and Phantom DR isn't that they are hard to overcome it's just that the "mechanic" doesn't add any true challenge to the game, it just makes the game last longer and is a tedious process. There is no way (other than hiding behind a house-worth of concrete) to combat stunlock, you just can't, I believe you might be able dodge the first Prime cannon but the other will always hit you before you finish recover from the roll or dodge.. There is a zero requirement of skill to finish a Geth Gold game (that is exactly why Firebase White/Geth/Gold was such an attractive farming setup) and literally anything you do (such as hide behind cover) isn't skillbase. You can easily dodge a Banshee warp or use a power to force a Phantom bubble up (off-host) or run toward a Scionj to get him to melee or blow a Praetorian's skullplate off or blow an ATLAS's crotch plate, shoulderguards or kneeguards off. Nothing you do (except shoot the Pyro tank, which is pointless anyways)requires any knowledge about the game. (Note that knowledge does not equal skill, any player can shoot an ATLAS's Shoulderguard off and accidentally stagger him).
