My biggest problem with the damage reduction is often she won't stand still. She does here cheap A cartwheel over and over. This is especially infuriating when playing a sniper

Ugh, God, I know that feeling. I swear my Valiant was out of ammo by the time I finally killed her.

Thinking back, I'm actually not sure if I did.

The gist of the persons post is correct. sync kills happen 95% of the time because the player made a mistake. There are the very rare cases of a banshee teleporting through a wall and down a level to grab you but most often it is player error that causes it.

I estimate about 80% of my sync kills being down to banshees teleporting through walls.

Banshees are pretty much the only sync kill I ever see anymore, with Phantoms being a very, very distant second. I haven't seen anyone die to an Atlas lately except Vanguards who don't obey the rule of letting them switch back to ranged mode, and Scions never get theirs off. If I played Collectors more I'm sure Praetorians would replace Phantoms, but they seem to have the same magnet hands that Banshees installed. And it's nearly impossible to escape their melee because of how fast it is and how often it staggers people towards the Praetorian instead of away.

awwwwww did I hurt your feelings

Nope. Stupidity doesn't hurt my feelings. Only my brain. And then only when its in huge quantities.

You owe my brain an apology.

You are developing a standard modus operendi of tossing out the insults when you have no viable counter argument.  In most cases that means you have no answer or have lost the gist of the argument.

I don't think anyone here is saying they never make a mistake and get sync killed. However, good players do have plans to avoid sync kills when they are legitimate. So do you believe the vast majority of sync kills that occur to a good player is because of player error? There exists a certain BS factor in game that you absolutely cannot plan for or battle against IE banshees coming through a floor or wall and immediately grabbing you.

Yes I believe the vast majority of sync kills that occur to good players are player error.

Last alive with my fury. Slowly killing off everything(specifically Marauders/Ravagers first). I count 2 Banshees/2 Brutes/2 Ravagers/2 Marauders on map. 1 Marauder down, now both Ravagers. Feeling good, I never get killed solo by Brutes/Banshees. Where's that last Marauder? There's the ****er, over there by the crate. Run up to BE and finish the ****. WHAM! Banshee right around the corner with him, synched. GG hold the re.

Again, I love all of this whining about phantoms, it goes 100% contrary to every anti statis thread I ahave been a part of.  "Phantoms are easy you jsut do 'inset tactic here.' you don't need statis at all![/b]

So according to your logic, every U/U/G&P game should have at least one Asari Adept, Asari Vanguard, or Volus Adept, because you might get phantoms, and because they're poorly coded so that hosts are unable to kill them in a reasonable timeframe half the time.

Could some of those "l2p" people please explain why the Reapers used to be the hardest enemy faction and are now the easiest (at least according to BSN)? I'm just curious. A certain "fix" to Banshee sync-kills didn't have anything to do with it? It was almost impossible for me (horrible lag with players hosting outside of Europe) to play Gold/Platinum PUGs against Reapers because itwas almost guaranteed that i'd get hugged at least once or twice every match. Which often had the result of a roflwipe.

And now, we have the same problem with Phantoms. Different issue, same BS. It's not fair and definitely worth complaining about when players have a huge disadvantage while hosting or having a bad host.

Even before the sync kill fix on Banshees, I felt that Reapers were the easiest enemy after doing one challenge early on that forced you to play a Gold Reaper game and extract.

insert think for lift, that would be a better question[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]. How could I argue when I don't seem to have a problem with sync-kills. Maybe someone can make you video (BSN learning channel)

You also mostly play Silver, with a handful of gold and platinum games thrown in, relatively speaking. You don't get Cerberus Gold wave 10 with four phantoms and two Atlases on Silver. You don't get two Banshees roaming all over the map past wave 3 on Silver. The sync kill percentages are SIGNIFICANTLY lower on Silver than they are on Gold or Platinum. Please stop.

I've never noticed this.

What are the percentages? I vaguely remember a thread talking about it back in the day, but that was before they changed them to address magnet hands.

What are they now?

Edit: Botched the quote... band-aided it.

Here

Cyonan's got tons of useful spreadsheets, including the damage values for weapons and enemy health values.
