My Asari Adept Build.. took her into a PUG game last night. Here is her tale....

**The following is based on actual events**

She wasn't feeling ready to deploy with the fabled "Gold" group, so this Asari Biotic specialist decided to hone her skills on a lower class mission. Anderson felt she was ready to tackle a deadlier enemy stronghold, but allowed her to do a routine op.

Her squad, a detachment of N7 operatives gifted to Anderson thanks to Commander Shepard's deep space deeds, was a mixed bag. She hardly knew the group, and had only met them during the short Kodiak trip to the war torn streets somewhere in central London. None of that mattered in the long haul. Her squad was a typical PUG; cannon fodder to slow the Reaper ranks and stall for as long as possible while Shepard strengthened the Alliance. A human soldier lead the squad, there was also a Geth engineer with a excellent sentry drone, and then there was the Krogan.

She had mixed feelings about that damned Krogan. His dossier said he was a Vanguard, but his stats sheet said he was young and untrained; a raw recruit. The human had a long track record, the Geth would stay composed and as focused as any machine would be, but the Krogan was an FNG and that could be disastrous. She was very aware that she wasn't the most experienced soldier in the squad, the human clearly had the most deployments, but her instincts were sharp and her Biotic's were powerful.

The zone was considered "Silver", moderate difficulty with basic enemy deployments; according to scouting reports. When the Kodiak touched down, "Tease", the call sign the other N7 operatives had virtually tagged her with, immediately raced into the streets of London. The distant whirl of an alarm was ringing into the night. The Squad leader, the human soldier, pulled rank and raced to the central boulevard. Tease was right his side. Her trusty Paladin loaded and primed. The Geth raced to a blown out building that overlooked the boulevard.

That Krogan... he was smart and followed the Geth.

Anderson wasn't sure which faction was holding the block, but the cursed rhythm of a Marauder was the telltale sign of a Reaper infested zone. The Soldier primed his rifle, spun on his heal and opened up into a hornets nest of Cannibals. When the first Cannibal dropped, the other three quickly turned on their fallen comrade to consume its organics and parts.  Tease quickly tossed Warped one of the hungry reapers in the group as the Soldier continued to fire into the wall of advancing enemy units. She then dug deep with her Biotics and threw a powerful repelling ball at the charged Cannibal. The impact was... glorious. The three Canninbals all went scattering in different directions like rag dolls, easily killed.  Enemy fire then washed over her shields. The Soldier backed into her and they both ducked into the cover.

The geth and krogan were doing a sustainable job of keeping the Reapers occupied with heavy weapons fire. That was when the first call came. Mission Actual called, and they wanted us to recover some artifacts. Recon had marked the locations with a way-point and they all sprinted into action, Tease following closely behind.  A Ravager opened up on the group, but a few quick biotic bursts and some Paladin rounds make short work of it. The Krogan hefted the pizza, while the Soldier provided him with covering fire. The Geth threw its Sentry into position to give advanced recon and herd the reapers away from the pick up zone.

It was a masterful operation. Each of the packages were picked up and delivered in a timely manor. We returned to the zone to resume cleaning out the Reapers, but things got complicated... fast.

Tease had never come face to face with a Banshee before. Like all N7 Operatives, she did the research, and knew not to let them get close. But when enemy weapons are constantly zipping past her shield and pinging off cover, it's hard to imagine making a run for it.

But looking at her first Banshee, the thin height, the horrific metallic skin, the look of death open her face, she understood why the reports said to keep you distance. Ravagers didn't bother her, nor did the massive hulk of a Brute, but a Banshee and its horrifying wail, that brought a tremble to her knees.

The soldier gripped her, pulled from cover, moved her into action. She gritted her teeth and let the training take over. Her warp flew, she switched to her Hurricane SMG, and let it growl, she hurled throw, and the Banshee exploded in a glow of Biotic delight.

But it didn't die.

The creature wailed, wailed at Tease and dashed toward her. The soldier unloaded his rifle, and swapped in a new clip to keep firing. The geth's Sentry hovered nearby, firing rounds in a precise pattern, but the Banshee kept coming. Tease kept firing, casting, and retreating. A brute growled nearby, the warning of an impending charge. She turned just as the Brute put an arm to the ground and its claw like right arm behind it. It was coming.

Tease was caught between a Brute charge and a pissed off Banshee. Both deadly.

She turned back to the Banshee, hoping to deal with it first, hoping it would die before the Brute got too close to hit her. The Banshee stopped its dash advance and began to walk toward her, hissing in fury.  The brute was right on top of her, she turned to dash out of the way, and the Brute staggered backward after missing. Something hit the Brute, something just as big and mean.

That Damned Krogan Vanguard.

The Krogan and the Brute went into a death dance, gun shots and roars, and that maniac Krogan laughter; the bliss of blood and carnage. Insane.

Tease warped the Brute and spun around just as the Banshee waved a warp field toward her. She dashed, ducked behind cover and heard the warp smash against her cover. She looked out and saw the soldier roll clear of the area, but maintained his weapon assault on the Banshee. Tease stood and fired. More Biotics, and more weapons fire from her Hurricane. She then heard the reassuring "woomp" of a Biotic explosion. The Brute roared it's death call. The Krogan stood in victory, but that Banshee showed no sign of giving up. Quickly, Tease switched back to her trusty side arm. Took aim at the Banshee's head and sent two rounds through the creature's skull. With its barrier thinned and armor depleted, the Banshee sank to it's knees, dying... and it reached out to Tease.

Still reaching out to kill its foe.

The Geth stayed in over watch, but the Krogan and Soldier came over to reassure her. If she could have kissed that damned Krogran, she would have, but the day wasn't done. The Geth was firing into the distance, two more Banshees and a two brutes were marching their way.

Mission Actual called onto their comms, "GET TO THE LZ!". The area was too overrun. It was time to bug out. The soldier pulled down his missle launcher and let one fly. The explosion took down the Banshee's and one brute, but wounded the other. Tease led the retreat, cleaning up any smaller factions that got in her sights. The Vanguard Krogan was pulling up the rear. He was Bitoic charging into small units, killing two and three cannibals at a time; laughing manically. He was being reckless. The Shuttle was thirty seconds out. The soldier tapped the Geth on the shoulder and pointed toward the Extraction point. They both turned and ran for it. Tease hesitated. She fired more rounds and screamed for the Krogan to hurry. A banshee's wail filled the air.

The Krogan Bitoic charged into a husk near the LZ, bringing him closer to the extraction. Tease back peddled, firing and casting, and was in range to exit. The krogan went into a bloodlust.

And was greeted by the loving embrace of a Banshee's hand. She picked him up. Tease primed her missile. She leaned into kill. The Banshee hiss and the missile flew. Tease hoped that the Krogan shields would hold against friendly fire. The blood curling gasp of a dying Krogan filled the the comm, just as the missile hit the Banshee. In the wake of the missile blast lay a dying Banshee and the Vanguard that had saved her life, not long ago.

The soldier grabbed her and tossed her into the Kodiak. The geth dropped his turret to assist in the escape, but Tease couldn't shake the image of that dying Krogan. She'd seen combat, seen allies die, but this extraction left a mark on her. The kodiak took off and the Soldier exhaled heavily at her side. We all know he should have ran back to the extraction sooner, but the Krogan wanted that last kill.

But Tease still felt powerless to stop him from dying, and she vowed, no more random squad mates would die if she had anything to say about it. She'd get stronger, she'd learn, and she make the reapers pay.
