Back when I first played Mass Effect I remember when I first recruit Liara on Therum she says a line: "I do not work for that turian ba$******!" I've been trying to prompt her into saying it again but she won't. How do you get her to say this?

Off the top of my head, I think you do not want to ask Liara about Benezia (any left-side Investigate options). Then I think she will say that line after you free her from the Prothean device and a squadmate wonders aloud if she is working for Benezia.
If that does not work, then... keep trying?

You were right. Don't investigate during the first conversation and someone in your party will mention afterwards that she may be untrustworthy. Thanks.
