I want to find out, if the personality types (using MBTI here) of Mass Effect players/BSNers deviate from the average numbers of the common populus.

First of all, here is a short explanation what MBTI is:

Wikipedia wrote...

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric
questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how
people perceive the world and make decisions.[1]:1 These preferences
were extrapolated from the typological theories proposed by Carl Gustav
Jung and first published in his 1921 book Psychological Types (English
edition, 1923[2]). Jung theorized that there are four principal
psychological functions by which we experience the world: sensation,
intuition, feeling, and thinking.[3] One of these four functions is
dominant most of the time.

Of course you can have varying opinions about this form of categorizing -- and to be fair -- I personally think that it is not going to have such a huge amount of value.
However, maybe it is going to have interesting results nonetheless. And as long as we have some fun, there shouldn't be any harm in this.

Here is a short test -- you might have to scroll down a little bit -- that will give you your four predominant preferences.
Here is the poll that will show the distribution of the ME3 players/BSNer.

For reference, I will post the average distribution of the common populus:

And here you have cliché description of every type:

I hope you had fun and if you want to discuss your results, please do so.

INTJ, although I believe that I am partially INTP.

INTP, Architect.

Obviously not a perfect interpretation but still a fun test.

I swear I took that before. It was to compare your personality to MLP characters though.

I've actually taken a formal version of this test and came out as INTJ. But most people don't fit completely in a single category. So I think that I'm a combination of INTJ and INTP.

Nice. I got the Spike one. I'll take this one and see if I repeat.

Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging. I think it's fair in accuracy, similar to PersonalDNA.

I actually had a tough time choosing one thing over the other, because I have traits of both in every case. Perhaps answering four questions in a quiz can not yield an accurate representation of personality. Posted Image

@Lath and Reezy Yeah, I remember when we did that. We used this test instead though.

I'm an ESTJ according to the link just above but I scored as little to no preference across most everything so I guess I could also be an INFP, or at least posess major traits of one. The descriptions of both seemed highly accurate for me.

This was the test I used last time to get these results.

INTJ.

It's fairly vague with regards to personality types, I always disliked being psychological evaluated for my personality type. Most of the questions I get asked are transparent and you can anticipate the results from manipulating the answers you give. One of my house mates was a psychology student at Uni.

Interesting. I scored ENFJ in ^this one, and INFP in the one the OP posted.

Opposing results in two categories.

Hmm.. I don't know about that performer part though. I did enjoy dancing in dance shows in high school, so maybe that's where it comes from.
