Oh yes they are. There are plenty of things in this world that people don't like. Like...beets, for example. But nobody spends time on a cooking forum gleefully declaring how much they hate beets, do they?

No, when people act like this, it's an obvious indicator that they're trying to prove something to someone.

David why do you feel to need to do this in every thread you go in, not knowing what your talking about

Could also be that someone who paid $80 for a bit of entertainment, which fell short of the expected entertaiment and replay value, decided to make his or her own entertainment by mocking said product profusely.

Are you saying you weren't with your "heroism" spree yesterday?

I was trying to prove something. I don't deny that for a minute. It would be very silly of me to argue if I didn't have a point I wanted understood, wouldn't it?

I think the whole name came from the song that has the exact image from the ending and similar lyrics. So starbrat. And really you are trying to complain about that? There is plenty of other more serious issues you could raise against anti-enders. But you chose something stupid.
By the way I am anti-ender and even I know that starbrat just spouts whatever illogical nightmare that bioware cooked up short on time. If the game was satisfying to you, fine you are far luckier than thousands and thousands of people who bought a game and were extremely dissatisfied with the end of it.

No. It couldn't. Because nobody is going to spend 10 months complaining about that kind of money. That would be moronic. And it would mean they would spend literally every minute of every day complaining, because life is full of occasions where you don't get your money's worth.

No, this isn't about money. It never was.

I too dislike beets. But their presence doesn't dictate the future of the galaxy.

Well, as far as I know.

He is not some human child he is the Intelligence for crying out loud. He was built eons ago by those who recognized there would always be conflict between organics and synthetics. If it weren't for him humanity would have never existed. In fact, no organics would exist at all! He is the most knowledgable being in the galaxy and it's largely due to him that we're given the privelage of choosing Synthesis.

A lot of people try to dismiss his credibility by calling him "the kid" when he only appeared like that so he would be non-threatening to Shepard. This symbolizes that he was never interested in war, but finding a peaceful solution that works for everyone.

People are entitled to have their own opinion. Forcing them your thoughts is like playing dictator.
Don't you realize this thread of yours is just encouraging people to say exactly the opposite?

attention addict much ? If that was your goal I congratulate you, you allready have 8 pages of comments.

I'll post a thread next. People have to stop complaining about ME3, the endings are perfect to end the series (I don't agree) but man, the replies I would get....

Of course it isn't.

A quart of anger, a quart of entertainment and half of justification, seasoned with a sprinkle of hope. May contain traces of troll; consult your physician on allergenetics before use.

Way to miss the point. It's not about money but entertainment, I find it fun to mock. You should try it sometimes instead of constantly trying to overanalyze every single comment.....though that's probably how you have fun since you keep doing it...so to each their own I suppose.

David I am trying to prove something.

I'm trying to prove to BW that they messed up Mass Effect.

I'm trying to prove why my emotional investment in this series over the past 5 years was given a 10 minute epilogue that barely answers questions.

I'm trying to prove that BW is nuts for going for the back asswards matrix/deus ex/2001 crap for an ending that nobody wanted.

dude sometimes you seem like an intelligent person with a strong opinion and able to defend it sensibly and others you come across as.......deranged, seriously. "something to prove", being "defiant", what? i spent €90 on me3 when it came out, bought an internet connection to get ec, then discovered bsn where i've come to share my opinion on the game with other like minded adults. lately i've only visited sporadically and thought this forum was kind of funny and i could get a chuckle while sharing my opinion.

isn't that what this forums purpose is? take a break from the computer for a while dude.

Nope, I refuse to treat the worst character in the entire franchise with the courtesy of using its actual name. He deserves to be called names such a Starbrat, ReaperBeiber, and Star Jar; amongst others

Allow me to ask a serious question of everyone posting on this thread.

Does the Catalyst have power over you as a person?

Not Shepard - but you. The person sitting behind the computer.

@OP:
LOL.
I take the Catalyst seriously when I play, and I never use those "nicknames", but that's only because I mentally tune out the parts of the conversation that make no sense and I don't want to ruin the story for myself. The writing of the conversation is so bad in parts that I understand why people call it names, and giving it the appearance of vent kid was a colossal blunder as well.

As for listening to reason....people express their emotional dissatisfaction when they call the Catalyst names. It has hardly anything to do with reason. And if you really expected a thread with a title like this to end well, you don't know the post-ME3 BSN well.
