Is it to much to ask for someone ANYONE at Bioware to come out and officially explain the ending to us?

Why does it matter what Bio tells us about the ending?

I'd like to know what they were drinking/smoking when they thought that this all fit together perfectly! Oh, and when it wouldn't be about an ABC ending or the Rachni would be important.

Why? You saw how everyone reacted when they explained why they didn't want to transform TIM into a Reaper monster (we're still hearing complaints about that 11 months later), could you imagine how everyone would react if they tried to explain anything else in the game?

Exactly why I brought up the "Golden answer"

So what if this "golden answer" isn't what people want to hear? Will they accept it and move on or will they still be here angry about the ending?

Once again, I feel they will still be here angry.

'

There is nothing you can do to please them. They have used there emotions to block any sort of rational thought or discusion.  The writers knew they could never, ever make an ending that would satisfy everyone. It's why they left the ending so open.

Don't get me wrong, the last choose was way to open and needed to be explained. They did that in the EC. They explained the only thing that needed to be: What was the effect on the galaxy that my final choose made? Everything else doesn't need to be explained. You don't need to be told what your crew does after. You sould know since you talked to them for 3 games!

Examples:

Tali goes back to Rannoch and helps to build her home.
Liara works to rebuild the Shadowbroker network.
Garus takes a very long vacation after looking for family and friends.
Vega starts his N7 training and graduates top of his class.
etc...

You see what I did there? I took who the characters are and made them a fututre that fits what "I" saw. I'm sure others might see them doing something else. It doesn't matter. We are given the chance to create how they live out the future that Shepard sacrified himself for. They wanted us to do this.  I do not need to have my hand held.

That's great and all, but that doesn't jive with the original ending since they got trapped and what have you. Which is odd, because in the EC, it shows them leaving, which is a change, which they said they weren't going to do.

Think on it.

I don't think they intended for us to think they were trapped, but with a burning Normandy and very little information that was a popular viewpoint.

As to the OP, yes that is too much to ask. They don't have to explain the ending, and they certainly don't have to "explain themselves."

The only thing a comment would have been nice on is dealing with the marketing, and it would just have to go, "We got a little too excited promoting this thing we love that we've worked on for years and said some things that we should have phrased differently."

Generally, space ships don't take crash landings well. If they thought a burning Normandy than ended up on a jungle planet all busted up and with a wing sheared off wasn't trapped, then I want what they were drinking.

They could solve much of the confusion with an official FAQ, but NOPE.

Apparently we'll need Synthesis to understand this ending.

Communications still worked, and as far we could tell they hadn't jumped through a relay. Someone could have come and picked them up.

Personally I thought they were trapped because they had gone through a relay, but it was pointed out to me that doesn't appear to be the case.

A thread asking for the endings to be explained, shouldn't turn into a discussion about the endings.

How do we stay on topic? Should we talk about cake instead?

yes the game is simple, making me laugh, pointing out the hypocrisy/stupidity in posts without resorting to insult and showing at least some small measure of intelligence are all that's needed for eligibility.

also note that i'm easily pleased (complete joke ****) and particularly skilled trolls (like the dude who started the don't call space hitler reaper bieber or something to that affect) will get honourable mention but can never be no.1.

since we aren't allowed to talk about the ending in a thread about the ending i'm gonna assume this is on topic?

Pretty much. Just because it's poorly written doesn't mean it's purposefully leaving out information.

I mean, we already know Hudson and Walters monopolized the ending, and that it was written out on one piece of paper, and that the original one about Dark Matter was scrapped when Drew K. left.

Is it bad that I still see people complain about the ending but yet I, myself cannot find anything exactly wrong with it? Yeah I get people didn't care for it but yet I don't see what people were angry about or what needs explaining.

At this point, people are angry because they want to be angry. Not much anyone can do about that.

I'm angry because i was lied to by Bioware.

@Brovikk - That seems pretty fair to say, all my questions were answered with extended cut and I felt better after that.

@Ryoten - How?

They told us there would be 16 different endings.

They told us our choices over all 3 games would matter.

They told us the ending would not be "A,B,C."

They lied

yeah, wouldn't want there to be discourse, critical thinking, or analitical convesation on BSN about the most interesting topic about ME3. No that would be bad.

Either on Bioware tv, YouTube, a gaming site, something, but all I want is for them to explain the endings to us themselves, the vision, the reasoning. Is that to much to ask? Don't change them fine I get it but come out and explain the endings to your fans and maybe just maybe we will all have a "oooooooh ok I see" moment.

I've been waiting and asking for this since the fiasco bega. End of the day no one is willing to take even partial responsiblity for this trash heap.

If they had come out right after the outcry began and just said "Hey guys, look, we screwed up, we're sorry. We're people too and from time to time we make a mistake, here's where we think we went wrong, and where we think we went right" there probably wouldn't be a bunch of negativity still lingering.

But alas, Muzyka made his statement (which said a whole lot of nothing), they fielded some really soft questions, the Extended Cut came and went, and we'll still be waiting a loooong time.

The Rachni got their own mission. How is that not important, compared to most plot threads from the first two games?

IGN said the first bit about 16 endings, not BW.

don't forget 'the rachni will play a huge role in how the game ends' from a month before it's release. the 16 endings was speculation but,  'many varying endings....not like the traditional video game endings where you can even say which one you got.... it's not gonna end by finding some long lost reaper off switch.... it's not just magic in space,' were all lies directly from the horses mouth.

Well, the rachni were important in a sense. But our decisions regarding the rachni weren't; ultimately there's a rachni queen, and rachni ground troopers to fight regardless, some EMS later, and it's all over.

Your decision was still important as a moral decision, as a statement of your own morality. Moreover, someone said that if you destroyed the rachni queen before and then saved them this time, they attack the scientists when sent to the Crucible or something...? Did they just make that up or is that true?

That is true. You recieve an email after a certain amount of time telling you the Rachni turned on the Citadel project and either fled or were destroyed, I can't remember which.

You lose 40 or 60 war assets, but I can't remember that either.

It's something, but I expected a bit more, and probably the only thing that annoyed me when compared to pre-release statements.

It also kind of calls into question why the Reapers didn't know where the Crucible was if they had sleeper agents working on the project.

This "morality" isn't worth jack in terms of content.

Well the exact quote goes “[The presence of the Rachni] has huge consequences in Mass
Effect 3. Even just in the final battle with the Reapers.” They're worth what, 100 EMS? The Normandy's worth more. And they're not involved in in the final battle past that count which is miniscule. A whopping 2.5% of the total score needed to fully unlock all options.
