Plenty of that food bmwcrazy posted looks properly disgusting. Some of it looks quite delicious. I'm still willing to try everything that looks disgusting, but I might chicken out when it comes to stuff that still has a face.

That's just freakin' me out. Staring at me with it's beady little eyes...

Full name and full address please. Internet website adress too if they have one. That's going on my list on places to visit if I ever go travel to the US.

It's just called 15 East. http://15eastrestaurant.com/

It's VERY important that you make reservation for the sushi bar in advance.

You have to sit in the sushi bar, otherwise it's not worth it.

The only sushi I eat is inarizushi or kyuurimaki - anything with veggies, not fish. I avoid seafood because I generally find it nauseating. I suppose that's pretty ironic since I actually like to watch shows about sushi and find the art of sushi-making fascinating (you have no idea how many Japanese programs I've watched about sushi over the years :P ). I just can't bring myself to eat most of it, sadly.

Have you watched the documentary film, Jiro Dreams of Sushi? A friend recommended it.

I just did, and it was incredible. Really made me appreciate the work that gets put into the craft. Wish I was privileged enough to try Jiro's sushi.

Meat loaf tonight, so closest I got was Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

I dream of sushi too, though I guess its daydreaming in my case.

Its amazing how someone like Jiro can supposedly put together the best sushi around without overcomplicating things.

Such simplicity. No need for like 17 ingredients like you'd see here in the States, its just what it needs to be.

Also, his attention to detail, evidenced by how he treats left handed patrons and serving sizes based on gender, is pretty cool.

I had deep fried sushi today.

It was so utterly delicious, so tasty.

I think I've had deep fried sushi once or twice.

Looking at it totally differently now after Jiro Dreams of Sushi though.

I'd rather go to a $20 all you can eat sushi place. At least they only charge you for the food that you can't finish.

Well, usually all you can eat places WILL charge you for an excess of left over food.

Though it usually has to be some ridiculous amount like half a pound left on your plate.

Maguro and Ebi are another two I miss.

It's not cheap. Everytime I go there for the sushi set, it always comes out to more than $200 per person. It's definitely worth the money if you sit at the sushi bar.

The director of that Jiro documentary told me personally that this is probably the second or third best sushi bar after Jiro's.

He surely is, but $300 isn't too bad in Tokyo.

I've spent a lot more and gotten worse.
