Full name and full address please. Internet website adress too if they have one. That's going on my list on places to visit if I ever go travel to the US.
It's just called 15 East. http://15eastrestaurant.com/
It's VERY important that you make reservation for the sushi bar in advance.
You have to sit in the sushi bar, otherwise it's not worth it.

Have you watched the documentary film, Jiro Dreams of Sushi? A friend recommended it.AtreiyaN7 wrote...
The only sushi I eat is inarizushi or kyuurimaki - anything with veggies, not fish. I avoid seafood because I generally find it nauseating. I suppose that's pretty ironic since I actually like to watch shows about sushi and find the art of sushi-making fascinating (you have no idea how many Japanese programs I've watched about sushi over the years). I just can't bring myself to eat most of it, sadly.
I just did, and it was incredible. Really made me appreciate the work that gets put into the craft. Wish I was privileged enough to try Jiro's sushi.

I dream of sushi too, though I guess its daydreaming in my case.

Such simplicity. No need for like 17 ingredients like you'd see here in the States, its just what it needs to be.
Also, his attention to detail, evidenced by how he treats left handed patrons and serving sizes based on gender, is pretty cool.

Though it usually has to be some ridiculous amount like half a pound left on your plate.

It's not cheap. Everytime I go there for the sushi set, it always comes out to more than $200 per person. It's definitely worth the money if you sit at the sushi bar.
The director of that Jiro documentary told me personally that this is probably the second or third best sushi bar after Jiro's.

He surely is, but $300 isn't too bad in Tokyo.
I've spent a lot more and gotten worse.
