Can you still finish the mages collective quests if you abandon Redcliff?

Because I did and the mage collective guy doesn't seem to be there.

How do you know that? Just because he's not there during the defense doesn't mean he didn't die. And even if he didn't, there is nothing for him to do in the middle of an abandoned village, so he probably left. Either way, you miss him.Gamer Ftw wrote...

Makes perfect sense, IMHO. There are negative consequences to playing a paragon- decresed rewards, sometimes actually giving money to NPCs, etc, so it's perfectly fair there should be some for playing a renegade, too.

Can't do the Chantry or Mercenary quests either. (Which means won't be able to finish the questline for the mercenaries where you choose to either support the dad or the son)

Maybe he was in the Chantry, protecting people? I get the distinct feeling that the Chantry ought to be bigger than the part we can explore.
