I have a strange problem with the Toolset. I use the following setup:
Win 7 64bit
Microsoft SQL Express 2008 SP1 64bit

I already rebuilded the Database via SQL Management Tools, the Toolset connects to the Database when starting it. So far everything seems ok. But when selecting Manage Modules -> Single Player, I can't open anything, the palette tabs are empty:

How can I get this to work?

The problem is likely due to using SQL 2008 instead of 2005. I believe even one of the Bioware developers said he had too many troubles with 2008 so he switched back.

Here's one link from a post by Bryan:

Here is another link.  Apparently there is some manual process involved with getting SQL 2008 working.

Thanks.

I've done the manual rebuild of the database. I'll try again deinstalling 2008 and reinstall SQL Express 2005.

Same issue with SQL 2005.

If I do the following: right click on any Tab in the palette -> Properties

I get the message "Please select Ressource"

I don't know if this will help you, but in a effort to get the lightmapper to work on my system, with Vista 32, during install, I had to manually make the directories that the toolset uses and accesses. Vista wouldn't let the TS make the directories, and the TS just ignore the errors and tried to work around it. took me 2 months to get everything working. My logs looked similar to yours before I made sure that ALL directories where available. Vista seems to be picky about what areas it allows some of the tools access to, because on each install, I had to manually build different directories.

That's a good hint! Can you tell me please which directories these are?
Thanks

To be honest, I don't recall, during install there where a couple of 'error can't write to' errors on some directory, I just look at the log, and instead of ignoring them, I made them.

I've also discovered yesterday, that using Nvidia FirstPacket can cause the light mapper to hang, and may cause problems with install. Don't suppose you have a nvidia graphics cards with a system that can SLI do you? if so, try turnning off firstpacket
