yeah, I have been noticing lately that nobody medigels at all and lets some else do the work to get them to the next wave.

Last few games i've experienced over the last couple of days have been like this as well, but this was on silver. I don't mind reviving, but it does get a tad annoying when nobody medigels....Image IPB

Being a good PUG player means destroying everything you see and keeping those PUGs alive.

True. It does get tiresome, especially against Collectors. Soooooo much running around.

It's quite doable. Just host with a laggy connection, provided you are good enough to solo Gold.

If you don't like PUGs, just play with friends.
If you don't have any, join a group on the BSN.
It's tacky to complain about it (and brag about how much better you are than every random person).
There are literally HUNDREDS of threads like this...

I like this human, they understand =]

OP, once in a while my Golds will be like that. But 9/10 times, I've been happy with my Gold teams, and we're all hovering at the 70-90k range, with nobody really carrying the other.

That being said, I also PUG gold very rarely, and mess around on Silver when friends are taking a break. I'll pug gold when I have time for only a few games, or when I'm "feeling it" on my Fury. Some days you just feel like Rambo more than others.

I would probably still pug gold despite the occasional bad martchup.

@OP

I love those kind of games. I take it upon myself to try and be a leader and help a struggling team through it. Sure, it can end in defeat, but there is something great about players having ambition to challenge themselves at a higher difficulty.

Everyone has to start somewhere. I think if you lead by example, and provide a little friendly advice, you may be surprised how quickly new players can pick up more advanced concepts.

Most of my playing has been done with close friends, but I really enjoy PUGs. I think too often people let their ego get the way of a fantastic gaming experience.

I have remarked that pugs are generaly horrible between 09:00 UTC to 17:00 UTC.

Hint if you host :

1. Watch noobs invading your pre-game platinum lobby
2. Switch difficulty to bronze
3. ???????
4. PROFIT.

This.

Unless it's the Collectors and if the connection isn't too laggy, PUGs aren't much of a problem on Gold for me.

I think some forget that Gold is the only thing viable for getting decent credits to get JEPs, so more and more players go to it. .

You honestly believe anyone in the pugging world would, for the benefit of the team, actually BUY JEP´s instead of another SP for the "shizzle weapons foo"? Are you delusional? See the hundred´s of threads "not enough medigel in Spectre Packs".

You could complain without showing scores. Personally they should ban score screenshots. Score means zip.

My sentiments entirely. Its a very thinly disguised brag thread.

I'm in Europe and I have had friends in the US play on my host and not complain. If anyone lags on my host they are either in a galaxy far far away or they have a ****ty connection :)

 It's very simple.

You've become too good for the standard Gold player base.
All the scores are fine except for yours which is exceptional.

The only thing to do is to find other players of a similar calibre and play with them.

It's like a a pro athlette complaining that people don't run fast enough around the park.

I do have some exceptionally good friends that I play with, and they do occasionaly outscore me, but that wasn't really the point. The point is, if someone had just seen a screenshot of the final scoreboard you would have thought that was a decent game. But it was a terrible game, frustrated me and stressed me out, because having to do all the work isn't easy. My point was that I'm sick of pugs that don't use equipment or consumables and who pretend the game doesn't have an objective :) But what can you do

I do understand you.  I supose it's a question of how you derive pleasure from the game.  Like the other poster said, I actually enjoy helping very inexperienced players (I'm just average myself - nowhere near as good as you).

In a Gold match two nights ago on Reactor we were all staying away from the LZ for extration, like you should, but we got cut-off by 2 atlas an a pile of Phantoms and Dragoons.  None of the other players would use rockets, and they were dropping like flies.  I shot off a rocket, revived two, and we all made it to extraction with 5 seconds to spare.  I felt EPIC, even though I only finished second.

I embrace the madness, and just laugh at some of the mad things other players do.  If you also run around with a Turian packing a Striker, it's like being in an episode of Scooby Doo! :D

... bleed out and go make a nice cuppa - it's not like YOU need the credits/experience at the end of the game now is it?

Would be true nuff if it weren't for the stupid N7 challenge that I have set off doing for so long...

What exactly is the point your trying to get across? Pugs suck? Don't do Pugs?

You state you have friends to play with, but you like pugs for the excitement? What's the excitement aspect to a pug? Surely you finishing top at level 12 and doing most of the work is the excitement you crave from a pug, otherwise I am not sure what the difference is between a pug and having a team of friends. Wouldn't the excitement be playing on Plat or playing with a different toon and weapons etc?

Not sure if you play on a PC or not, but I have been Pugging since Multi went live on my PC and 9 out of 10 matches, everyone chips in and does what they should do to complete missions or extract.

Every now and then you get someone who is not capable of doing gold and starts to effect the team, however it doesn't stop me from doing my best and trying to extract and I defo don't come to these forums to moan about pugs as everyone knows with pugs that you roll the dice and take your chance.

I tend to leave a bad group after extraction and join another one or host one, but I know that I am taking a risk with Pugs, but so far after nearly a year of playing, I don't have any issues with Pugs.

Are you on the PC? From reading the 1000s of posts like yours, it does seem to be Playstation and Xboxers that have the most issues with Pugs. I don't know that for a fact, but a thread I did a few months ago, about not having any issues people have with Pugs, was answered by a lot of people concurring, especially PC players.
