@ Kuato: PC didn't get the patch yet as far as I know. Supposed to happen today, while 360 got it yesterday.

I used the acolyte on an asari adept and it one-shotted a phantom's barrier on gold. So whether that's a nerf, buff or unchanged damage I'm not sure.
So you never used this gun before yet you are happy they nerfed it (yes, it's a nerf for me)?
Please wipe that smiley off your thread title.

Ziegrif, chill. You'll be able to just kill him before he can switch weapons without any ion cannons. Or just take a charge-up weapon and shoot him while running full-speed. Or, if all else fails...Ziegrif wrote...

But for once I REALLY want to.
I'd probably see it coming... or maybe I wouldn't. Either way I'd turn and shoot my acolyte and strip your shields in one shot without having to charge it.
=P
Allright.

Not good I prefer the charge up.
I think if they are going to 'balance' it. Make its BASE damage fairly low, but give it a higher shield modifier, giving it around the same amount of damage against shields that it has now. But it won't do as much damage against Health, Barriers and Armour. I believe this way it would fit its in game description a bit better and balance it. It just kinda urks me that a 'shield stripping weapon' does so much more than just strip shields. /mini-rant-thingy

Man, the acolyte. It was a triumph for weapons with a soul when it got its charge back. Now...goodbye Acolyte. Charge or not, I never liked you anyway.

I'm kind of worried that their "fix" involved just taking away charge-up time from everything. Anyone tried the Graal or Arc Pistol?
This. Has anyone tried other charge up weapons?

This week's balance changes does not list any Acolyte changes. So it is still charge to shoot, if that is what people have been asking.

The Striker has a ramp up mechanic, like the Typhoon or Particle Rifle, ie it reaches its full RoF after several shots. I think that's why he was talking about.N7Dropout1 wrote...
I've never tried the striker before,
but it's firing is currently full automatic and there doesn't seem to be
any delay in shots or any charge mechanic involve in its patched form.

So you're saying it has a static fire rate? (has/used to have a ramp-up time)

Yes, this is correct. My apologies, I've never used it before. The is a ramp up, but you can hold down the trigger and go to town. I honestly didn't know if it was a single shot gun or not.
