All my classes are at level 20. I have all customization for all characters. Just bought 2 Arsenal Packs. First one Quarian Marksman & Ammo. Second one Turian Saboteur & Ammo. When can I expect my 198,000 credit refund? So, um... you do know a patch is supposed to FIX things, right. What's the next one gonna do? **** my sister? Punch a kitten? Give me cancer?

You think this might be a little bit of over reaction. A refund would be for something that was broken if you recall character cards were not capped in the past. You still got xp I am sorry you chose to not take advantage of what you got that was your own decision. Do you complain about the 2nd slot character slot you sometimes get in the same manner?

This is the same group that compared it to being handed a sand papered covered ****** and being told to go f ourselves (by Bioware). Me thinks overreaction is their forte.

If I was serious then yes, it would be a bit of an over reaction (I guess text doesn't convey tone all that well). It was disappointing considering I had my fingers crossed for an Ultra-Rare but it's not the end of the world. But I'm not sure how I could have taken advantage of two character cards for characters I already had all customization options for. Also, what is a "2nd slot character slot"?

I can guarantee you it didn't potentially cost you a UR weapon, would have been level 4 consumable. Also if you look you sometimes get blue character cards in the second slot of a 5 card pack.

So what, it didn't land on an UR weapon so then it rolled the dice to see what Rare I got and came up with the character card? That's cool, I've got plenty of level 4 consumables. Hadn't noticed the blue character card thing but I only buy Arsenal Packs (previously PSP's). Sidenote: It's cool that you actually respond to our questions/comments.

How dare you. How are we to "choose" anything when there is no warning of this throwback outside of the forum? The vast majority of the playerbase had no notification of this issue.

If indeed the two character cards only repeat once each, it's not that big of a deal. My main worry was that they would keep showing up. The confirmation that a character card cannot take up a potential UR slot is a bit of a relief. If people are unaware of this issue then they should read the forums more often, the sticky is hard to miss.

First off: The description of the card pack (PSP) is as follows: "Includes five random items or characters with at least two Rares or better as well as a higher chance for Ultra-Rares." Please tell me how we "violated" this description?

Second: I posted this thread before Xbox and PC users even got the patch, so it was not me sitting on my hands hoping people wouldnt notice the problem.

Third: It was not a throwback it was an unexpected consequence of an optimization

Fourth: The person who I was replying to choose to keep his characters at level 20, which is what I refered to as having a choice.

Fifth: You are correct not everyone uses the forums, that is not my fault, there is no way with which I can distribute information that everyone affected is guarenteed to receive it.


@Leonia yes you only receive each of them one extra time, basically their cap should be at 4, but it was at 5.

Never guaranteed a UR. I spammed aresenal packs forever. I'm 3000+ games and 1000+ hours into this game and I STILL don't have a single maxed UR... So, those rare slots that were taken by character cards more than likely just "cheated" you out of level 4 consumables, but that's about it.

@Bryan Johnson: Fair enough, I made an error in generalising what you said. However at this point it had been well established by anyone far enough into the game, that character cards do not repeat once all customization options are unlocked, and this was a very sudden change to that. You can hide behind the vague description of the packs contents of course, but that really is exactly what you are doing.

I do withdraw my previous accusation, I realise now that I was not to take offence as the statement was not directed at me. The store system is a source of much fustration and I am disheartened by the unapologetic approach to this issue. Whether or not this is a concern, is of course entirely up to you.

Hell, I was happy to see them pop up and thought gold cards had been re-implemented into packs to balance out all of the rare consuables that I don't really use.

Tip - Keeping your kits at level 20 is a crutch too many people rely on and then they complain that the game is 'boring' while never even attempting to play it as intended.

I'm so confused about the Acolyte... Yesterday at like 12:00 am EST or so my Acolyte required charging to fire.

Now, all of a sudden, today it required no charging?!? February 2nd-3rd.

Now, when you say 'has become authoritative,' that implies to me that the VI, AI or whatever I has become an independent thinker and has gone rogue.   Would that be the case?  If so, what do you guys call your servers collectively?   Hal?   (I am being sarcastic here)

Also, are atlases supposed to float ?   They seemed to be doing that quite a bit this weekend (esp. on Firebase Ghost ...  what a thrill that was to be on level 8 in gold cornered by four phantoms, four dragoons and five floating atlases).

Anyway, I think it's stupid that I could buy 10 Arsenal Packs and only get upgrades for guns I never use. I'm not trying to keep the discussion about the packs going, I'm just stating my opinion.

BAH!  Give me some real incentive to promote and then we can have this conversation.  I'll take a 1% power damage or recharge for each promotion, or something of the like.  Otherwise promoting is pointless and BORING.
