Shepard didn't have time to go around rescuing civilians and taking out high priority targets. There was a game changing artifact on the planet, that was the one and only objective.KingZayd wrote...
Short, and it feels as if we made no effort to fight off the Reapers. We went there to get what we wanted then left. At least on the other worlds we helped out a bit before we left.

Edit: Nevermind. Wrong mission. I was thinking about the Ardat-Yakshi mission

And when the artifact was gone? We just went straight back to our ship. We had important things to do, but we still helped out with Palaven in some way. Thessia got nothing from us.

Oh yeah, bad, awful, lame plot armor.
As for Thessia, I hated Liara's whining. I get her being upset but she acts like hers is the only planet under attack. She has no problem killing reaperized people of other races, but when its her own she can't do it. I never heard Shep or Garrus or anyone else whine about killing husks or Marauders. Then there's her line "maybe the next time we go to war the Alliance can spring for air support." I wanna yell "maybe next time we go to war, your people will jump in and not wait till the last minute to ask for help. And then blame me when it all goes wrong."

Idiotic and disappointing. Rehashing Saren would have been more enjoyable.

That fight was amazing, actually. There Leng is, the only thing standing in the way of stopping the Reapers once and for all. But, for all Shepard's might, he isn't good enough to stop Kai from grabbing the intel. It gives the player undeniable respect for Kai Leng and establishes him as a tremendous threat. After that fight, I was seriously doubting whether or not I could defeat him.Masha Potato wrote...
Awfully designed fight with Kai Leng isn't enough?
Calling upon ninja rockets isn't a victory. It's a cheap escape at best.

Okay I will concede that Liara was absolutely terrible in this mission but I will go no further than that.
A Shepard romancing Liara should have been able to hug Liara after the Fall of Thessia, that's my only complaint.
Shepard spends the entire game moping about Earth, and trying to get everyone to rally together to retake it. The Turians/Garrus insisted we must recruit space somalia at the cost of pissing off a galactic superpower (while the Asari are the only race to join the war effort without a quid pro quo). I certainly don't blame Liara for being upset (it would be pretty hypocritical too).

Ninja rockets? Bah! A real ninja would've used TWO swords. Or a bo staff. Or nunchucks. Or twin sais.
Kai Lame probably dropped out of ninja school and was picked up by Derperus who knew no better.

They're on an important mission and she's running around like a school girl who just got dumped by her first boyfriend. And what the hell are you talking about "the only race to join the war effort without a quid pro quo". They held out on the most important information in the game, the only known knowledge of the Catalyst until they saw they wouldn't be able to survive if they didn't help. Shepard isn't even allowed to critize this.Barquiel wrote...

Not only that but the mission was a pretty straightforward shooting gallery with a downright stupid bossfight at the end. I can't stand Kai Leng and anything to do with him and the fight with him on Thessia is just the worst of the lot. I would've liked it better had they stuck to the original scene in which either the VS or Liara would die there, that might've made the entire mission memorable in a sense, but in it's current form... it simply isn't.
ETA: I'm not even getting started on the scene with Liara afterwards. My Shep romanced her since ME1 but that scene just failed on so many levels.
Why the mission is (according to your data) universally disliked however, I have no clue.

It was not known that it was information about the Catalyst. That said, they have still violated Citadel law, and are hypocrites for having done so, while presumably enforcing those laws on other species.

- Non happening zone in the temple (I had litterally the feeling that I was in another dimension. The war didn't exist anymore).
- Kai Leng and his plot-armor.
- Auto-dialogue after the mission.
Edit: I liked Javik trolling Liara though.

I wasn't saying the in game characters knew the information. I'm saying we know that's information, so it's ridiculous for us to say that the Asari jump in the fight without wanting anything in return, because they have arguably the most important asset of any race. Yet didn't release it until the very last minute, when they had to.KingZayd wrote...
