Okay I will concede that Liara was absolutely terrible in this mission but I will go no further than that.
A Shepard romancing Liara should have been able to hug Liara after the Fall of Thessia, that's my only complaint.
Shepard spends the entire game moping about Earth, and trying to get everyone to rally together to retake it. The Turians/Garrus insisted we must recruit space somalia at the cost of pissing off a galactic superpower (while the Asari are the only race to join the war effort without a quid pro quo). I certainly don't blame Liara for being upset (it would be pretty hypocritical too).

And what the hell are you talking about "the only race to join the war effort without a quid pro quo". They held out on the most important information in the game, the only known knowledge of the Catalyst until they saw they wouldn't be able to survive if they didn't help. Shepard isn't even allowed to critize this.
The asari joined the war effort after the Cerberus coup. So virtually the same time as anyone else does, but without demanding anything in return (or some shiny mission). The krogan demanded a cure, the Turians demanded krogan support, the Salarians demanded to sabotage the cure, the quarians demanded Rannoch. That has nothing to do with the beacon (the asari councilor didn't even know the beacon existed at this time, Tevos says the matriarchs have informed her after Rannoch).

It was not known that it was information about the Catalyst. That said, they have still violated Citadel law, and are hypocrites for having done so, while presumably enforcing those laws on other species.
They do fight for Earth though without getting anything in return though.

They would not have done so if they believed they could have held Thessia themselves. They tell you as much. "While the Reapers focus on Earth, we can prepare and regroup."KingZayd wrote...

Which is rather odd of you to say, as pretty much every thread that contains the word "indoctrination," or in any way criticizes or questions the ending you claim to so dearly love, you report...
Huh...

Thessia was so contrived to make the player feel helpless and defeated. It was overly sappy and desperate, and the plot armor fight with Leng was one of the worst gaming moments in all of ME (after Catalyst kid, of course). The frustration players felt was not because "We lost!!" but because of the massive lameness of plot armor, one of the worst things anyone can put into a game. My Infiltrator practically blew off Leng's shields in one hit, then he ran away crying while the gunship saved him (again). Of course, we have killed gunships with rifles in the past, but apparently this one was magic.
In all fairness, though, every Kei Leng scene was just awful. When he jumped on the hood of Shep's car, I was wondering why Shep didn't just pull up and pulp the loser on one of the many bridgeways overhead....
ME3...so much bad writing....

You consider a "The Computer Is A Cheating Bastard" fight good? Leng was pathetic (so much that I even fought him off at melee range), and suddenly a Dropship is invulnerable. I never got depressed after Thessia, I was just pissed off. Seeing Shepard moping around and thinking Leng had defeated him was pathetic. Pity I can´t get the Miranda + Thane + Kirrahe dead before ME3 interrupt. That one did get what I felt in thessia.

This was a gunship that had Reaper tech supporting perhaps the most dangerous man the galaxy has ever seen. There was no way Shepard was going to win that fight.
