You'd be upset if your preferred gender was under reprented in one of your favourite games too. Just saying.

This really doesn't need to be made into a gender issue. Any fan of anything is going to be upset when something or someone he/she wanted specifically isn't included. The thing that isn't included is irrelevant. What matters is how said fan reacts to said thing not being included.

And BSN, on the whole, has created a very, very bad image for itself in that regard.

Just saying.

So, what are the odds this DLC will push me over the edge with crappy, few, if ANY female additions to the roster?

Oh, DLC, how I wait with low expectations. I can't get hyped anymore. Retalliation effed that up royally. Hell, the fact we don't have a new female soldier by now effed that up.
My faith in bioware's 99% totaled at this point.

Mad that I want female characters? I don't care.

Okay, Raven, as much as I respect you: In addition to Avenging_Teabag's extremely wise response...

All I'm going to add to this is: They added what is by far the single most grossly, absurdly overpowered kit in the game who is female (and quite easy on the eyes, since you also brought that up) and you're still complaining about how females in this game are "crappy" and weaker (Yes, weaker, I've seen quite a few of your older posts).

...If by crappy and weaker you mean absurdly dominant. Even without the Retaliation kits quite a few of the best characters have been female. Sounds like you just need to l2p. (Numbers aren't everything if a good portion of the best are female)

Fair enough, which is why I added more to my post.. said my piece on the matter and moved on. Or would you rather I make a fuss like others are doing?

Anyway, more excited about the prospect of new guns, maps, modes of play than new models but it would be nice to see something that the fans have been asking for for a long time implemented. There should also be some new salarians at some point and females of other alien races (drell, batarians, krogan, etc.) if possible. They aren't priorities but who doesn't want to see new kits added?

I want variety. It's as simple as that. Stronger variations in methods of assault, durability, weapon synergy, appearances, alot of the things peopel want in characters in general.

Variety is everything.

Now enough derailment.

Didn't the leak say we're getting Humans, Salarians, and Krogan? Blue Suns, Eclipse, and Blood Pack, anyone?

That would be cool, have always wanted to see a mercenary faction in MP since they were so much fun to go up against in ME2. Given the recolouring of the Bloodpack armour and the addition of SP weapons, it doesn't seem like a huge stretch actually.

^ I was thinking that my self. Going against Merc's would be a nice new faction,I've been thinking about that for a long time now really >__< But what kind of people would be apart of it? The drones from ME2 perhaps, I dont know -__-

You know, considering his armor looks like Blood Pack, and the SMG is being added in, this obviously implies the executioner might get snuck in too. Would make a lot of sense.

IIRC only the Punisher's challenges are in the patch, but the other four's descriptions are in, so it's possible we'll see the weapons rolled out weekly.

And the new armour is the ME2 Blood Pack armour, just with the shoulder-tubes removed, leaving only the bottom of them:

It does lok like the Blood Pack armor.

With the tubes removed.

And a completely different helmet.

So it looks almost like a Bloodpack armor that looks like a completely different armor!

Different helmet and armor? It's easier to see in this screenie, take a look:

The new Krogan's armor is cleaner, but the shoulders, hump, and helmet are the same shape, and the pattern on the helmet and legs appear to be the same. The BP Krogan's helmet even has the four holes, just not lit up.

It's sort of like how the Batarian's armor is an updated mix of a few Medium armors from ME1.

@Blackbird:

Actually the helmet is exactly the same, albeit shown from a different angle. The four lights seen in the teaser image are hidden by the above Blood Pack krogan's Claymore shotgun.

Oh, and it looks like Bioware has been data mining my mind again. The reason I say this is that I have been, that I've seen, the ONLY person who has been talking about ConOp mode while playing online and I posted my ideas for Co Op mission a month ago on this very BSN board. It feels good to be vindicated.

I'd wait until the DLC is released to say you've been vindicated =P

People who whine about things not being in the DLC should vote with their feet/wallets and simply stop playing.

That Krogan does like nice, I just wanna know what that hammer can do. Doubt it is a "Gravity Hammer" but maybe when it hits the ground,it can cause a big explosion? Maybe it can project a shock wave :P

I hope that this DLC won't affect SP even more... I love multiplayer, but it shouldn't influence SP... paragon/renegade points? What does MP have to do with my Shepard's actions? ;/

In order of likelihood (IMO, obviously)

1. Some of the speculation is correct.

I've never read the forum with the link, but the guy seems to be well known and highly regarded there. Unless it's a community effort, it's probably not a troll. But -- and this is the key point -- the miner hasn't been able to absolutely confirm anything. He said it looks like it pulls data from SP campaigns, and it looks like there'll be a co-op mode. That's it.

2. None of it is true.

Welcome to teh internets, land of trolls and epic butthurt.

3. All of it is true.

Everyone's happy other than the she-turian fanboys.

It's #1, basically.
Basically, I'm giving my opinion on the reddit "leak" based on what I could find - I'll go back in a bit and have a look for which .pcc I was referring to, since I stupidly didn't make a note of it yesterday
But yeah, anyone can download ME3 explorer and go to town on this patch - there are also some new mods to a few core game files outside the patch folder that got done with this patch and may be worth a look.
Really though we're likely to see an announcement within a week or two.

Jesus. Why are you all making such a fuss? We already got that leaked blurb like a week ago, and now there is only some vague statement saying "Hmmm, it does look like it's true!"

But what exactly is it that gives the blurb more credibility now? Or is it just the board going completely bonkers?

People like to get way too excited over vauge statements

I would've thought that chris denying it would only increase the chances that it exists, based on his track record ;)
