Krogan Sentinel and lift nades . Batsol ballistic blades and inferno nades . These are my personal favorites to get kill streak , missiles equal no work approach but all are satisfying .

On a side note anyone else notice the last few weekend events have been geared to do easily solo vs a team or is it just me ?

Spawn nuking of any flavor will get the job done here. Rockets and Nades being your best bet.

Trying to pug this is hard? I get 3 killstreaks almost every match using pugs. USE them to know where the next spawn will take place at the start of waves 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Its seriously not hard -.- Use Armor Compartments if needed. Can also nuke spawns with Asari Vanguard or QMI/E.

 They still are.  3 killstreak medals is you seeing five enemies huddling around the campfire and you then rocket them no matter at what point in the game is.  

Well unless your that player who goes into games with no gels or rockets then it might be a bit difficult but no worry silver extraction nets you a jumbo equipment pack.  Then you will have some rockets and gels

Just play Rippers, break a Ravager sack, then rocket the swarmers. You may have to rocket multiple times. Sometimes you need an Arc Nade + a rocket + a Heavy Melee to finish off any Swarmers with spawn protection.

I'll be trying solo first, burning through my missles in the first waves, probably empty by wave 5
I have 6 now, becaus of that one gear that I unlocked yeasterday xD

But I'm thinking that maybe playing on Gold (PUG) would be better, becaus everyone would try and nuke the spawns. I would try to find a lobby with people who seems to knwo what they're doing.

Seriously though, ask yourself these questions:

Do you know the spawns?
Can you host?
Do you have any Adrenalin Mods and a Drell Adept, and, maybe, Grenade Capacity?

If yes, then congratulations, you will get your 3 Killstreak medal!

You might actually have to get through the wave you got the medals on, just like with the 75 kills last weekend.

I plan on doing this in a pug.

Probably on Glacier where I'm used to speed running it and getting a killstreak with almost every missile fired.

I suspect at some point this weekend I'll end up in a group that understands not to screw up the spawn at the bottom of the stairs long enough for us to get our commendation packs.

I can see where you might be worried about this one if you are newer to the game. I know my PC account (I play xbox mainly) only has 2 missle so it might seem difficult. If the pugs you're with are completely incompetent it's really not too bad as long as you can solo a bronze or at least last a few wave you'll be fine. You will need a character with grenades if you don't have enough missile and you don't have the gear to increase your missiles. (You can get kill steaks without them but they are a little less reliable). You will also need a basic understanding of spawns. Glacier is a great map to use because it's small and the spawns are pretty easy to get to.

For tips on where to grenade or rocket watch a gold speed run on youtube.  There are a lot of videos where people rocket spawns giving you a better idea of where to stand and where to run to get your kill streaks.  (You don't have to play on gold to get kill streaks in these spawns.  The videos are for reference for those who might not have any idea where the spawns are or that you cant stand in the spawns and expect stuff to spawn in them).

This definitely isn't a difficult challenge, even for beginners, especially compared to others. I know we've had an extraction on gold (prior to platinum being release). We've also had ones that require the use of classes newer players may not have unlocked. They're called challenges instead of "bioware gives me stuff" for a reason.
