You're FOS. Only eight enemies spawn at once on a board.bogsters23 wrote...
OP it's easy man you can do it on bronze or silver solo. just use grenades/ recon mine or missiles. you just have to know where enemies spawn.
edit: you can even get 3 killstreaks with one missile. happens all the time when i'm playing with friends though.
3 killstreak medal? Thanks so much for whining that ops were too easy

Bronze, the problem is players tend to overlap each other trying to get kills in. Killstreaks are often spoiled by teammates killing off one a bit too early.millahnna wrote...
I think this one is going to be tricky for bronze players (not enough enemies). Silver and above should be fairly easy though. Silver I'd wait to nuke spawns until later waves (5 or 6 at least) but still doable.
For Bronze solos/ teams:
Good maps -- Glacier, Goddess, Jade
Decent maps -- Vancouver, Rio if you wade in fast on the container side. Ghost can get decent if you catch the spawn right. White if you camp right.
Not consistent enough -- Reactor, Dagger, Condor, London, Giant

I love all the boasting that this is an "easy" challenge, and how quickly most feel they can get it. Sure, it's not extremely difficult, but it will take some effort.
OP. don't give up on a challenge until you've tried it. Last night I went into PUG to attempt it before the operation starts, and without really giving it much effort we got 2 killstreaks in one match. Had we tried, i'm sure we could have gotten it. So, it isn't as hard as you think.
Try it. And as always, have fun.

Proof?
It's the missile they shoot out in the beginning of the game while they switch to their charge weapon
Ohh wait... that was before yesterday.

I always come out of a PUG game with Kilstreak 3, know where your teammates are and where an easy to hit spawn. This is more important on 5, 8 and 9 when you can drop a rocket at the start to wipe out a third of the spawn budget and net some kills. Sure sometimes teammates positioning screws up a bit and you get a Ravager spawning in on the LZ on Firebase Ghost but there should still be two banshees, a brute and three husks in Building 7 and you have 5 rockets...

We don't know where the spawns are going to be. In a team game I am pretty good at knowing where spawns will show up. Solo is a whole other matter.
For example, on Condor if all companions are on the upper area and not on the sniper bridge and one runs up on to the sniper bridge at the beginning of the wave there will be a spawn in the landing zone. Solo this is not the case.
How about Glacier, If you stand at the top of the long ramp to the basement and team mates are also up top then you will get a spawn in the basement and you can race down and go after that spawn. Is this still the case if i am solo? If I stand at the top of the long ramp will I get a spawn in the basement or will it spawn elsewhere?

Split spawns are likely to occur, I wouldn't recommend doing a Gold Solo because of it (though you could). On Bronze you can easily just wait for the enemies to pile up, though will usually spawn together anyways (like spawns being LZ, Hallway and Basement if you stand at the Ammo Box looking at the Nook). Try not to to nuke stuff unless you see a large spawn (i.e don't grenade spam three Centurions). You need 5 kills within about 1 second to get the medal.

I think many will just have to be lucky to complete this one. For those of us who have been playing for awhile its easy, but the new guy is screwed this week.

For this, you can use the alternate method. Find a dead end. Go there. Wait.
For Glacier, use a QMI or QME and Geth/Bronze, go to the dead end hallway in the lab. Its straight ahead through the doorway where you spawn. Its a spawn spot as well. Go take cover at the lone pillar there. Ignore the shooting. Most will hit the glass you're behind (don't take cover in a way that you're standing up) and the silly damage the do barely scratches if you have fitness.
Every single one will converge on you. Wait until one of them tries to melee you. Run out the doorway towards the LZ then spam your grenades aiming to center the grenade point to cover the largest area. Killstreak 1 done. Get more grenades and repeat. Wave 2's rocket troopers are more problematic because they tend to stay further away but you can killstreak with the troopers anyway.
Repeat until done.
