Yeah, always equip stuff. If you keep playing you'll pretty much never use up your extra lower level equipment, and if you stop playing, well, you won't either. I always use my highest level equipment for Gold and above - used to save 1 or 2 for an emergency but I don't even do that. Equipment makes life easier/things go faster, but rarely decides a match.

If you've got lower level ammo of the type you wanna use go ahead and use them but I prefer to keep III's for Gold/Platinum runs, because you never really need ammo for silver runs unless its Collecters because they're so good and stuff...thavelka wrote...
Thanks, the community here has made getting back into the game a breeze. I'll see what characters I get in the future, but for now I'll stick with the huntress and experiment with various weapons. She might not be the absolute best, but a biotic infiltrator is right up my alley, considering my two most played classes in the past were the AA and salarian inf with a Claymore.
As for warp ammo, would you use any on lower difficulties? The improvement would seem huge and I'm sitting on a bunch, but I recall getting specific ammo was a bit of a crapshoot and I feel like I should save them for gold/plat runs. Is it feasible to use an ammo in most matches?

If your looking for a new character to try, try the fury. Go as light weight as possible, activate annialation field, run into the enemies, every enemy within range is ready for a biotic explosion, you just have to hit them with a throw... Boom! Dead stuff everywhere.

Ps power damage in the passives doesn't increase the damage of the biotic(or tech based) explosions. It is calculated by the level of your powers you combined. So in this it'll be lvl 6 annialation field, level 6 throw.
