Reload cancelling is not lore-breaking, if anything it supports the lore.

Codex entries since ME2 mention highly skilled operatives being able to swap thermal clips in under a second. It makes sense that members of the N7 Special Ops are highly skilled.

It obviously would be wasteful to code in separate reload animations for this kind of thing, so BW did the next best thing - Introduce something that would allow for skilled players to cut down on their reload time just as skilled operatives would be able to cut down on their own reload times.

If anything, the concept of reload-cancelling is only even more lore-immersing than the game would be without it. Far more so, in fact, because then it places the player in the shoes of the soldier.

Sure with that logic, i should also be able to kick a banshe when she grabs me, break a humanoid sized enemies neck , drag a wounded buddy, biotics should be able to move vertically, chuck stuff at the enemies, Sniper wouldnt exist given the size of the maps..........

Another thing ur mentioning is LORE, in the mefect lore there is no reloading, read Mass Effect:Revelation where most of the tech was explained, Aiming as well is a non issue in the series with a tracking/lock on features of armors and weapons integrated with omni tools, again the books have awesome detail when it comes to explaining technology and weapons and are considered cannon.

And lastly what I find really annoying is when people dont make a difference between the lore of a game and the mechanics that were placed in there to make sure the gameplay is smooth and engaging, a lore point cant 100% be represented in a Video game (in terms of technology or tactics) as it would simply be silly...

Well, when I was in the military I was able to reload faster than the average schmuck and I want to apply this ingame, but the animation just doesn't support it. Respect lore.... Please.... You want to take damage or get overrun because you want to pay tribute to an animation, be my guest.
However I find it strange that people apparently care more about this crap than issues with non-charging vanguards, power-negating and hitbox "issuing" bombers/dragoons, triple firing geth troppers and butt lasers...... Yeah, let's focus on RC to be lore consistent.
