Remove the delay from the Crusader (with POLL)

Remove the stupid 0.2 second hit delay from Crusader because:

1. The weapon already weights a TON and is on par with Claymore
2. The ROF is nothing spectacular
3. The damage is nothing spectacular
4. It doesn't bypass shieldgate like other shotguns do
5. It has almost nothing over Wraith in the range departament
6. The stats fool the player into believing that it's a very accurate shotgun while in fact it's not and heavy leading is required.

Poll here:

Just get used to it. It works fine, just headshot all the things.

Edit: at the time of posting, it appears your poll needs the delay removed as well...

I've been hip firing it with good success on my Havoc.

Why can't people use this gun? My circle of friends has been using it more and more... and they're all really happy with the weapon's performance.

Go ahead... remove the delay... but the gun is already quite awesome. 4-5 buffs will do that...

What's to nerf? It has sub-par damage, ROF is garbage, weights more than a Krogan in armor with a Claymore and unwashed ears.

They could buff its damage, get rid of the delay, make it shoot several pellets so it's not affected by shield gate, I would still not  use it.

I will never cheat on my Claymore

Wraith is better in every way. Claymore is better too.

Weight doesn't matter, I use it on my weapon kits. Super accurate, easy to snipe with and get headshots. Damage is good (subpar relative to what?).

The fact is the firing delay adds a learning curve that is part of its balance. If you remove it you'd have to rebalance it somehow.

I don't dislike the gun at all but I would be all for them removing the delay.

Sub-par damage? WTF?

That thing slaughters... well... everything. Even Platinum bosses fear my Crusader. I outscored Ashen Earth with a Crusader for christ's sake...

To other UR Shotguns or even Pistols or Sniper Rifles. That extra range rarely comes into play and Wraith does it better. There is no need to reblance it. You already pay enough.

You clearly know much more about the game than I do but it surprises me when anyone says the damage is sub par. It absolutely murders bosses and mooks alike on Gold, and that is without any kind of amps. Like others have said, I fear if the firing delay is removed now, it will be seen as overpowered but I guess the weight might save it from being nerfed.

Short answer, leave it as it is IMO.

My GI with a Crusader will kill an Atlas faster than you can with a Claymore OR a Wraith... hands down.

From the context I assume that means something, yes?

Still, I don't agree with Quotes as to how bad the gun is, but without the delay nothing would need to be nerfed.

I was in a game with Jay about a week ago.

Jay got a crusader in his commendation pack so he decided to use it for lawlz.

I got sync killed by a praetorian, so i got to spectate Jay until the end of wave 9.

Jay missed an abomination at virtually point blank range a grand total of 4 times.

Yes, the gun needs its firing delay removed, when even a player as good as jay can't hit something 2 feet infront of him, the gun definitely needs its hit system improved.

My guess is they would've fixed it a while ago if they could... not everything can be easily patched.

Balancing a weapon with what amounts to artificial aiming lag makes about as much sense as balancing an OP gun with a proc chance to die on shooting: both can statistically stop a weapon from being overpowered, but there are better avenues.

If it wasn't for that delay, the damage output of the Crusader would be superior to the Claymore/Wraith.

788 damage at X. Sluggish ROF. Aim delay. Heavy as a cow.

I disagree. I don't have DPS numbers on hand, but I find it competitive at taking down bosses (if not mooks, shieldgate does hurt there).

And I find the range does come into play for me a lot- heck I even zoom in to hit heads.

I like the Wraith, but I prefer the Crusader on kits that care less about weight.

The delay is pretty annoying, even with a character who has overload/energy drain to stagger enemies.

I hipfire it with a Destroyer to get the challenge done then go back to my Claymore on him.

But it would weigh more and be much harder to hit with.

I know, I know.
