AFAIK the sustained DPS of a Crusader is second only to Reegar, Piranha and Raider and it is far more useful at range than any of those.

Just edges out a RC'd Claymore.

Zjarcal used 8 thermal clip packs + proxy mine

Javelin + phasic III w/ 920% additive damage bonus (cloak, HM, passives, thermal packs) +20% from proxy, +25% from sniper rifles x2 for atlas canopy bug = dead platnium atlas

How many times you will hit with all 4 shots? Without wasting too much time aiming? 

Well, since my primary Crusader user is either my TSent or my Havoc, a lot of the time...

 Alot of people complain about the Crusader, But I find that I can snipe with that SOB. Considering that it fires slugs and not buck shot seem to drive some insane, But slap it on a GI, Cloak, proxy, headshot. It is one of the best weapons that I had gotten. Hell, I think it even fires faster than the claymore, and to me, it does just as much damage.

Best use, HIP FIRE IT, and it'll knock a phantom's head off at 100 yds.

If I get around to doing one sometime, maybe. What's there to be dubious about? All 4 are only needed on boss enemies, which are generally big enough to hit.

Sniping with the crusader is easier than hitting things at close-mid range. When enemies are out of their own targeting range they don't dance around like they do closer in.

True, but Crusader doesn't ignore shieldgate, and it's affected by lag, unlike the other two. As it stands, the Crusader suffers from a firing delay, is hurt by shieldgate, and also sometimes has rounds disappear into thin air.

Hey hey, I'm all for removing that delay. Just saying that without it, the Crusader would be a promo weapon I'd look forward to get in my commendation packs. Like the Hurricane right now.

Ohhh, I get ya. I misread the tone. Yeah, I already don't mind the gun, but that change would definitely put it right up there with the best.

The Crusader is definitely a beast of a gun; I started using
it at VIII, and by X is was absolutely destroying things. The only issue is, I
typically use it on my Geth Trooper and Destroyer, and the RoF increase + lag
means that one shot disappears into thin air almost every volley I send out.
This is a bit much, and is one of the reasons I’ve cooled off on using it for a
while.

 

Definitely a hell of a gun, though, if you can aim.

I'm already use to the firing delay. It's not bad at all when you get the hang of it.

I think people miss the point of this gun completely . It is slug vs shot you miss you pay a price it is my favorite gun so it is a biased opinion . I use it on my melee characters. Besides it is always fun to mail slot two guardians that are lined up . It has the ap built in shoots through thin walls and cover with ease . I am just glad it doesn't have real slug physics and you have to account for drop . This gun isn't for everyone the closest shot gun in learning curve I can think of is the graal . The point is this gun is not meant to be a casters weapon and yes you pay a price in short range if you miss no extra pellets to save you it is high risk high reward in short range . The only thing I would recommend changing is ammo amount in early levels of gun but other wise nothing else .

Shooting from the past is never fun, that being said it might be overwhelming if taken away. I'll take 100% accuracy while shooting from the hip instead, kthxbai

Me thinks OP needs to actually learn to aim. The crusader is the only shotgun I can even stand using, and it just wrecks things on all difficulties.
